excellent place to catch up for a cheap meal and watch the rugby kid freindly atmosphere and lots of space its a great alternative to the crowded bars we traditionally go to watch the rugby in Newport.

Not just good but good good. Always a treat to enjoy a meal served by great staff. And to have a starter drink outside on the terrace in this waterside place with all the buzz of on-water activity is an absolute bonus. I'll Be Back... Again and I am and I will. More

Four adults for lunch mid week. Outside bistro almost empty of diners, however the staff were quite attentive. Ordering of meals easy and efficient. All ordered the beef burger with chips. Fresh and tasty. One non member price $22.00 per serve. I think that this... yacht club would be very busy on summer weekends as there is a pool and playground for children. Outdoor area really lovely with either overhead roofing or umbrellas. More

Great service, great wine list at very reasonable prices so we were very surprised that the food was so ordinary. We were here for dinner and the food selection, quality and presentation was below what you'd get in an average pub.

I hadn't been to this brasserie in over a year, unfortunately it looks like they have changed operators. The brushetta was stale and looked like it had been made a couple days prior, the garlic bread was also cold and the Salt and pepper squid... was also terrible. We were hoping that the mains were going to be better, but unfortunately it wasn't More

Nice venue, long-term customer, but terrible experience. Won't go back even though I live next to it. We visited on a member's night, so it was busier than normal, and I suspect the staff weren't able to cope with the numbers. The pork belly was... $38 which I think is expensive per their recent price rises. It arrived after 30 minutes and was not hot (terrible - chewy like rubber and with something like sawdust/herbs piled on it). I suspect if heated it would have been great. My wife's mussels were cold as well. After complaining, I was told that they 'never heard of that before'! Seriously. I suggest going somewhere else that values customers. The club won't accept complaints from long-term members like us who used to visit weekly even after I followed up. More

The restaurant has a lot of good choices but a bit slim pickings for us vegos? Still, we did ok with a nice ravioli and a salad. The cost can add up with drinks... YMMV

We visited on our yacht with our young son and stayed at the Marina, we all enjoyed a day at their swimming pool while sitting outside with a glass of French rosé for myself and a boutique beer for the husband as we ordered the... most delicious lunch. The restaurant is part of the Royal Motorboat Club and the facilities here are fantastic (Restaurant, Marina, Showers etc). Being summer holidays, it was small children and their groovy grannies aplenty, the children’s area is separated from the adults so no fear that children can overtake the place. The food here is great, the meals are fresh and delicious and the bar well stocked, a children’s menu offers good variety with something to suit every palette. The pizza bar in the evening is a hit with young and old. A diverse and well thought out venue and place to dine / relax / sail and just enjoy yourself. A really super place! More

My husband and family have been coming to RMYC for years and have never never been disappointed with Salt Cove. The service is always friendly and prompt We dined last week for my birthday My two grandkids devoured the kids fish and chips and the... adults enjoyed their various meals. Last night my husband and I enjoyed the lobster mornay and the crumbed lamb cutlets. Delicious. Keep up the great work Salt Cove. Forgot it's also good value More

excellent eggs Benedict and coffee service was swift and gracious loved the location we were lucky with almost no one there we will definitely be coming back for more

This review is for the restaurant. I'm not from around here, so take my review with a grain of salt. The restaurant is pub style, where you order and pay at the counter, given a buzzer, and pick up your own food. Get your own water at the bar, and drinks. We put in reservations, so I was expecting table service, but that's on me. I had 1/2 dozen oysters, nice and creamy. SO had the seafood plate. Nice, typical Australian. Friendly staff. Best part seems to be the history of the yacht club itself. Think it would be a good spot to relax as a member.

What's not to love about the Royal motor. This place has it all. And now the pizza oven, delicious. Great spot for somewhere different breakie lunch or dinner. Staff friendly and they make a damn good cuppa to!
