About Longreach Catamarans
The Longreach is foremost a family of high performance power catamarans designed for liveaboard cruising to the most remote destinations. Enjoy long range, low impact economical, smooth, safe and secure passage making in comfort and at speeds to delight. Reach further, stay longer. This is a purpose built power catamaran hull featuring a full displacement design with low drag, smooth riding slender hulls. Optional with hydrofoils for super-high performance and standard with docking keels for safe grounding and protection of the running gear.

Hull #1 of the Longreach 1900 was launched on August 21st, and less than 3 months later, hull #2 was splashed... and this clearly indicates that the Longreach Power Catamarans shipyard, based in Pattaya, Thailand, has found its cruising rhythm, and numerous launches are already scheduled!

Before giving you the full test of the flagship of the range, which also includes a 1200 and a 1400, we can give you a few details. Its hulls feature inverted bows to increase the waterline length as well as ensuring a wave-piercing effect. Deflecting chines keep the deck dry and the robust keels allow for taking the ground. With its long-range tanks, the 58 can extend its range to almost 4,000 nautical miles while maintaining a speed of 8 knots. The flybridge is a friendly space with an immense area for relaxation, a table and a bar with refrigerator/freezer. This upper deck can be completely enclosed aboard the Expedition version. The highlight of the interior has got to be the owner's suite with its king-size bed. Headroom exceeds 6 feet 10 inches (2.1 m) throughout. About the LR1200
Like the bigger sisters 1400 and 1900 models, new Longreach 1200 combines the DNA of Longreach including the super efficient hull shape for long range, with a more compact package of interior options for cruising couples to explore the coast lines and inland harbours.
The slick lines of the Longreach 1200 ensures a extended waterline length for efficiency due to the reverse bow shape, but importantly combined with wide deck walk ways, spacious cockpit living and the option to select from a range of hull colours.
HELM & FLYBRIDGE
Up top the flybridge again has another spacious entertaining area, wet bar and centrally located helm with twin helm seats protected by high quality clears forward. There is access to the forward deck via forward steps down to the Muir anchor winch which can be controlled from an electric chain counter at the helm also. There is an option for an open flybridge or closed in flybridge.
SALOON & COCKPIT
Entertain in the cockpit from the galley with a large opening sliding door and window without intrusive support posts. The interior has the option for an internal helm, but standard with lounge and full panoramic windows.
The cockpit offers full shade protection, spacious seating and walk through transoms to provide easy access to the tender and boarding.
INTERIOR CABINS
The owners master cabin features the generous queen-sized bed, hatches for natural ventilation plus air-conditioning, TV and an ensuite including a fresh water electric toilet.
While the guest cabins enjoy comfortable beds with large windows alongside. A selection of beautiful timber interior options are available.

The hull is a full displacement hull but designed to motor at cruise speeds of 12 knots, or top speeds of around 25 knots. The Longreach Expedition is a variation on the regular LR58, but with a vastly different and innovative layout. Featuring a fully enclosed flybridge and fully enclosed cockpit that can be opened up with electric windows.
