Staying in one of the Antibes crew houses has a host of benefits if you are seeking work on a yacht. Firstly, it works out substantially cheaper than staying in hotels, but it is also an excellent way to network with other crew. 

The yachting season in the South of France gets started as early as April, and with Antibes being a popular destination for job seekers, you will need to plan and book your accommodation well in advance.

Debbie’s Crew House is situated in a gated community with a secure courtyard. They offer bright and spacious accommodation as well as 3 independent self-contained studios for those looking for more privacy.

Debbie’s is an excellent option for networking as it is run by Chief Stewardess Debbie and Engineer Franco. You can also expect to find more established crew staying here.

Debbie’s Crew House is situated right near a bus stop which is great as it is about a 20-minute walk to downtown Antibes.

The Crew House

The Crew House is a very popular option among new yacht crew seeking work. It can sleep up to 30 crew at one time so you will be networking with a big group of people.

The Crew house is run by Martin and Virginie who are well known for looking after the crew and helping with job seeking and advice. Known commonly as a home away from home, this crew house in Antibes comes highly recommended by other crew.

It is also centrally located near the main docks and crew agencies of Antibes. They also offer discounts and good prices dependent on the time of year and length of your stay.

The Glamorgan

The Glamorgan is another popular crew house in Antibes located just a few minutes walk from Port Vauban. This crew house can accommodate up to 30 crew in both private rooms and shared dorms of up to 6 people.

Facilities include Wi-FI, laundry, air-conditioning, a computer and TV in the main lounge. If you choose to stay here, it is recommended to send your CV before arriving as the owners of Glamorgan receive many requests for day workers and crew!

Amma’s Crew House: The Cheapest of the Antibes Crew Houses

Amma’s Crew House is known as the cheapest option for crew housing in Antibes. Based on its further location from the marinas, and the facilities not being as great as the others, it is ideal for crew on a tight budget.

Glamorgan Antibes Juan-les -pins

Debbie’s Crew House is the perfect relaxing spot to chill beneath the Mediterranean sun during your quest to find a yacht job.

We are situated in a Provencal style villa in a gated, secure courtyard on the outskirts of Antibes. For those searching for privacy we also have three independent self-contained studios within our courtyard and garden. All our property is gated and secured (monitored by CCTV). Our bright, spacious accommodation and garden areas will soon become your home away from home !

Chief stewardess Debbie and chief engineer Franco have designed their crew house using their vast experience on board super yachts. Franco is chief engineer on M/Y Kingdom5-KR which is docked in Antibes for most of the year. At least one of them will always be present to advise and help you. You never know who you might find at Debbie’s. Due to its location on the outskirts of Antibes, Debbie’s is also popular with more senior crew looking for a base either between jobs or doing yacht courses. A number of our regularly returning clients have many years’ experience in the yachting industry holding varying positions such as chef, engineer, chief stewardess and captain. Who knows who you might be sharing a beer with by the pool !

A place to find work…

Debbie and Franco have over 40 years of combined yachting experience and have built up numerous invaluable contacts during this time. Through these contacts they are often the first to know about crew jobs and day working opportunities. Yachting is an industry built on contacts and reputations. The name of Debbie’s Crew House carries some weight, agents and captains know that a recommendation from Debbie or Franco is well worth considering !

A place to save money…

Debbie’s rooms are reasonably priced and its out of town location removes some of the temptation to deposit all of your hard-earned day working cash behind the bar of the many pubs in Antibes ! In fact, there are large refrigerators in the garden to stock your drinks on those hot summer days. After a busy morning, the taste of a cocktail by the pool is priceless !

All about the Crewhouse

The Crewhouse opened in 2000 and renovated in 2014 is the original crewhouse in Antibes.

Under new management since 2008, The Crewhouse includes 6 bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, the Man Cave, a large kitchen with dining area, a lounge with SMART TV and a computer area. All these open onto an interior courtyard where our Crewhouse residents meet.

The Crewhouse has reversible air-condition and provides bed linen, towels, laundry facilities and wifi for free. In other words, all the services you need you will find in the Crewhouse. Even better, when you find a job, we will refund the price of unused accommodation.

Looking for a job on a yacht can be stressful so being able to relax and have some fun after a long day dock walking, day working or running round the numerous crew agencies is essential. You really make friends for life staying in either the Crewhouse or the Townhouse.

Early Departure

If you have to leave the Crewhouse for work, 24 hours notice must be given and a credit for unused accommodation, valid for the current and following calendar year will be issued.

‘Portside House’ has 5 bedrooms (triple or quad share), all with private bathrooms. ’Seaside’ has 7 triple share bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. ’Oasis’ has 10 triple share bedrooms, all with private bathrooms.
