Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.

Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?

Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

All pricing includes the wave runner on a trailer for customer towing. The discount on a Multi Day Rental has been calculated into pricing. Insurance is included, however props, canopy boots and covers, anchors, life vests, throws, paddles, and other incidentals are not covered by the insurance. Fuel Costs are NOT included in the price (except for single day pontoon rentals on lake). The fuel tank will be full for each reservation, and you’re required to return it with a full tank. Welcome to YBC – Minnetonka (Brown’s Bay)! This is one of two locations we have on this lake.

Lake Minnetonka is Minnesota’s ninth largest lake, popular among boaters, sailors, and fishermen alike. There are over 14,500 acres of water here to explore! According to lakeminnetonka.com, “the lake was formed by glacial melting in the last ice age, and covers 125 miles of shoreline. This massive, sprawling body of water is actually 40 virtually independent bodies of water.”

Parking & Check-In

Parking: At the Brown’s Bay Marina location, parking can be a bit tight on busy weekends and is limited to two vehicles per boat. *Please do whatever you need to do to consolidate vehicles between you and your guests.

Our boats are located on the east of Brown’s Bay side by the blue and white gazebo. Please feel free to park by the gazebo. We have parking lot attendants who can assist with double parking.

Popular fishing includes: Northern Pike, Walleye, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Muskie.

We (Kyle and Joy Colbert) purchased Lake Vermilion Houseboats in May of 2017 and are the fourth owners in the history of the Houseboat fleet. We have three children: daughter Chance, sons Croy and Canon. Having vacationed as a family in the upper Midwest and Ontario we feel we have a keen sense on what guests are looking for in a vacation. Since our ownership in 2017 we have made countless upgrades to our fleet and landing. We have made personal sacrifices to invest within the business to get our landing and fleet to the level we are proud of and expect for our respected guests.

We did a 4 day fall trip with Vermilion Lake Houseboats, it was great! The staff was helpful and accommodating. The weather was great, the leaves were turning, and no mosquitoes. Boats are clean, well maintained and offer everything you need to enjoy a vacation on the water. I would highly recommended Lake Vermilion Houseboats and can’t wait to plan the next trip there.

We enjoyed exploring Lake Vermillion with our boys ages 5, 7 and 10, plus my mom, my sister and my husband’s parents. The kids spent hours swimming, sliding and hot tubbing. The 55’ was comfortable and spacious enough for everyone. Joy and Kyle were professional and responsive. Highly recommend!

Great Vacation ! Owners/Staff were friendly helpful and the boat was great and easy to drive . The lake is beautiful and so many nice spots to dock, fish and swim . Loved the hot tub . Pack light ; swimsuits , beach towels , sweats , rain gear , hats , sunblock, mosquito spray and a clothes line . We will be back soon:)

20′ Pontoon with 60 HP Motor

By far our most popular rental, enjoy cruising or fishing on one of our new, stable and comfortable 20 foot long tritoons. Both boats feature a 60 horsepower Bigfoot Mercury 4 stroke motor, a livewell, depth finder, Bimini top, swivel seats plus bench seating with storage space. Kids and adults alike enjoy riding around on the pontoons. Comfortably carries 8 adults.

Lund Adventure 1675 with 90 HP Motor

Upgraded deluxe fishing boat with 90 H.P. 4 stroke Mercury motor with console steering, livewell, rod locker, depth finder, trolling motor, swivel seats, with casting deck. Whether you simply want to boat in style or go fishing, this boat is sweet.

Lund Angler 1650 with 50 HP Motor

Deluxe fishing boat with a 50 H.P. 4 stroke Mercury motor. Steering column, electric start, power trim, livewell, 2-rod lockers, depth finder, trolling motor, 3 swivel seats and casting deck with storage space. Great fishing and cruising boat. Boat seats 3 but is ideal for 2.
