Overall rating

Worst boat cleaning service at the Chicago Harbors or Indiana Harbors. Consistently poor job by David Redick's crew. Left lines in the water, canvas left open, cleaned only one side of the boat. Last straw was $800 of damage to the boat. David offered to reimburse with a paid receipt and hasn't done so. David responded to our request for payment by saying we were not very nice to him and that he didn't need any negativity in his life. Fair warning as he talks a good game and then doesn't follow through.

Lynn, I first want to say thanks for your concern on our work. My team absolutely made a mistake by leaving your canvas open once and leaving the lines in water once. I know the biggest issue you both had was leaving the eisen glass partially open when they were cleaning and they did not close. It did indeed rain a day or so later which got your boat carpets wet upstairs. The part you are leaving out though which is quite unfair is that I went on to give you a $750 of free cleanings (10 free cleanings) You left that out. No payment was taken from you or Bob for the poor work. I gave you $750 free service because of leaving a boat canvas open and lines in the water- I'd say I was very fair given that you have never paid my company any money. You left out the fact that the piece that I was going to refund ended up to be a faulty part on the boat. It was warped and dry rotted and the hatch did not close properly. The piece cracked when they went to close it and it shattered because it was a dry rotted piece of fiberglass. It had nothing to do with negligence. As for not refunding you- after a thorough review from the Sea Ray dealers and other fiberglass repair groups I found that the part broken was a common thing And was not at all due To my crews negligence. When we have issues I take responsibility and either fix it or Discount the work. Thus the $750 of free cleanings all to make you happy. Not many go above and beyond to fix the issues like I have for my customers. I'm sorry you are unhappy but as stated above I went out of pocket to make things right. I don't find it a good habit to disagree with customers but this was a very unfair review and facts were left out. Throughout this process I respected you with high regard no matter how poorly and disrespectful you treated my crew and myself on multiple occasions at the marina. Thanks, David

The crew did a great job and working with the owner is true pleasure. Very professional. Our boat looked great and we referred him to many of our harbor friends.
