The yacht has a sleek, modern, and almost futuristic look. It’s what the lead designer Enrico Gobbi calls an “automotive aesthetic,” with a silver hue and long black window that runs nearly three quarters of the hull length amidships.

The superstructure and upper deck notable by their curves, with a swept-back radar arch and large radomes on the top. On the front of the yacht is a large Jacuzzi. “The owner chose dynamic lines for this sporty superyacht,” says Gobbi, who oversaw the project with his Team For Design. “I wanted the boat to be in motion even when it is at anchor, combining long curves always in tension, and streamlined bridges that recall the wings of a jet.”

The transom also retains the sleek look at speed but folds down into a beach club. The area, with its nearly 30-foot-wide beam, is defined by open space as well as stairs that head up to the main deck. The interior is described as “minimalist” and built with “quality materials” but is short on details or images, so must be left to the imagination.

The fast-displacement hull is designed around the hybrid system, with two electric motors and diesel propulsion, though Rossinavi declined to specify the sizes.

Its five modes range from full diesel for speed to full electric for cruising in relative silence. There is also one to power the yacht’s hotel mode.

“This is only the beginning, as this technology will be optimized next year, revealing its fullest expression with the launch of the Sea Cat,” Rossi says. The 141-foot catamaran should be able to cruise on electric-only mode for an entire day, he explains. Plus, the initial renderings very cool and sleek compared to most of the superyacht catamarans on the water. With the hybrid system, it should be the cat’s meow for the Italian builder.

Rossinavi delivers 50m No Stress Two

Rossinavi enters a new era with the delivery of its first hybrid motoryacht….

Designed by the renowned Italian studio, Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design , No Stress Two  marks a new era for Rossinavi . With a fast-displacement aluminium hull, the yacht comes equipped with dual power systems: diesel engines and electric motors, featuring five distinct operational modes. An advanced AI system is incorporated to maximize the efficiency of the electric mode.

“ No Stress Two isn't just a hybrid vessel; it's a testament to sporty elegance. Combining high performance with dual fuel capabilities – diesel and battery – the onboard Artificial Intelligence ensures that passengers can savour the electric experience to its fullest. And this is just the beginning. Next year, the technology will reach its zenith, especially with the upcoming launch of the Sea Cat ,” said Federico Rossi, Chief Operating Officer Rossinavi.

With specifications that keep it below 500 GT, the yacht spans 50m in length and has a beam of 8.95m. The forward section also boasts a walking space encircling a significant bow pool, covering approximately 10 sq.m./107.6 sq ft.

“With its dynamic contours, this sporty superyacht is designed to look as if it’s in motion, even when anchored. The design evokes continuous tension through elongated curves and streamlined bridges, reminiscent of jet wings. It's truly a grand maritime coupé, integrating automotive details in both its exterior and interior design." elaborated Gobbi.

With a calculated top speed of 20.5 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots, this yacht houses 4+1 guest cabins. The impressive naval architecture, responsible for its performance and extended range capabilities, is the brainchild of the talented Italian, Giuseppe Arrabito .

New 50m Rossinavi hybrid superyacht No Stress Two for sale

The 49.9-metre Rossinavi hybrid superyacht No Stress Two is listed for sale with David Jakabovic of Morley Yachts.

Recently delivered in September 2023, she operates on dual fuel and is the first vessel to be delivered under the Viareggio-based shipyard's BluE initiative. She is equipped with AI technology that monitors consumption when cruising in electric mode and her five different operating modes maximise energy (whether at anchor or underway). 

While naval architecture is owed to Arrabito Naval Architects , the exterior is courtesy of Enrico Gobbi - Team for Design and this marks the shipyard's ninth collaboration with the designer. Exuding the same sporty aesthetic seen on projects such as EIV and Flying Dagger , the yacht boasts a slender profile to match her fast-displacement hull. As Rossinavi explains, her "long curves [are] always in tension and streamlined bridges recall the wings of a jet", strengthening her automotive-inspired design.

In line with the owner's brief, Enrico Gobbi creates a spacious interior with floor-to-ceiling windows and openings on both the hull and superstructure, allowing guests to soak up their surrounding environment. The shipyard has described the design as "minimal but with accurate architectural details" combined with "natural and prestigious materials".

Initial images showcase the master cabin's monochromatic, silver-tone colour scheme with soft backlighting, while the rest of the boat is characterised by neutral tones, teak decking and pops of teal furnishings.

Careful consideration has been paid to the connection between different spaces, best demonstrated by the spacious, walkaround bow. The 10-square-metre pool and the aft cockpit DJ station overlook No Stress Two 's open beach club.

She is powered by twin MTU engines and two electric motors (charged via the generators and battery pack), making her capable of reaching a maximum speed of 20.5 knots.

No Stress Two is asking €36,900,000.

Viareggio, Italy, 13 April 2023 - Rossinavi has presented in their facility of Viareggio its latest project, No Stress. This is Rossinavi’s first hybrid yacht equipped with AI. The project is a sophisticated sports yacht with exterior architecture and interior styling by Venice-based practice Enrico Gobbi - Team for Design. No Stress is a full-aluminium sporty yacht with a fast-displacement hull. The vessel has a double power system: two MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesel engines and two electric motors powered by both the generators and the battery pack; when in electric mode, the system is managed by an AI that monitors its consumption.  The overall exterior design of No Stress is inspired by the sophisticated style of automotive icons. Key features and captivating aesthetic elements, such as its slender silhouette and dynamic sleek lines, make it well balanced, elegant, and fast, while the interior is minimal but with accurate architectural details. The 50m motor yacht was commissioned by a private client who briefed Rossinavi and Gobbi’s team to achieve spacious interior spaces that would organically blend in with the outdoor areas thanks to the openings on both the hull and superstructure, as well as the continuous floor to ceiling glass windows. This allows for the beautiful panorama and view of the sea to be enjoyed from each area of the vessel while in navigation.

2 rescued after million-dollar, 80-foot luxury sport yacht sinks off Florida coast

Two people were rescued moments before a million-dollar luxury 80-foot sport yacht sank off the coast of Florida Saturday, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

According to the Coast Guard, the incident was reported just after 11:35 a.m. Saturday about 3 miles off St. Augustine Beach.

The operator of the massive vessel, the Atlantis, said their sport yacht struck an object in the water and was sinking, officials said.

According to NBC6 affiliate WFLA , who originally reported the story, Coast Guard Station Mayport sent a boat crew to assist.

The Coast Guard also teamed up with St. John’s County Fire and Rescue, which soon arrived and rescued both people from the yacht with no injuries reported.

According to WFLA, the Atlantis appears to be a 1999 or early 2000s model of the Sunseeker Predator 80.

Atlantis has two Caterpillar diesel engines and can reach a top speed of 44 kn or 50 mph, according to data from Boat International.

After Saturday’s incident, a hazard to navigation was broadcast to alert mariners of the yacht, which could damage to other vessels on the water, the Coast Guard said.

The owner of the Atlantis will now have to arrange for a salvage of the vessel, the Coast Guard said.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.

Carrying debt has always made me feel constrained and cranky.

I had longed for the stillness that comes from knowing my home was really mine.

The decision to pay off our mortgage well ahead of the scheduled payoff was precipitated by my husband’s retirement. He had intended to work a little longer, but an untenable situation at work necessitated his early departure.

But we were ready, having done preretirement planning for the last 10 years. We had been making extra principal payments and finally decided to take money from two retirement accounts I had from a previous employer to finally get that debt off our books.

The choice didn’t come without some second-guessing — initially.

Our interest rate was 2.75 percent. That’s cheap money compared with current mortgage rates, which have been hovering between 6 and 7 percent. To some it makes no sense to dump debt at such a low rate; many readers contend we would have been better off investing all those extra house payments. But even a low rate adds up to thousands of dollars in interest payments each year.

My husband and I crunched our numbers and felt paying off the mortgage with one of us in retirement was the right move.

A year later, we have no regrets. Here’s the upside of not having a mortgage.

Less stress

Our mortgage took up about 20 percent of our net monthly expenses. By getting rid of it, we eliminated the biggest expense in our budget.

Of course, we still have to pay property taxes, but it’s a fraction of the money we were shelling out in principal and interest payments every month.

When our insurance premium increased, as it has for so many homeowners, we weren’t happy, but it didn’t cause us to fret.

Market swings downward aren’t as rattling because our housing expenses are lower.

More folks are taking a mortgage into retirement. But carrying that debt may delay your ability to retire and reduce your ability to spend the way you want, according to a University of Michigan Retirement and Disability Research Center working paper .

Researchers found that the share of homeowners entering retirement with mortgages increased from 37.9 percent for people turning 65 in the period from 1989 to 1995 to 50.8 percent for those turning 65 in the period from 2013 to 2018.

For some households, mortgage-financed housing wealth can be a liability in old age, the researchers concluded.

Cash flow is better

When you have cash coming in that’s not obligated for bills or debt, you have more flexibility to fund your wants and needs.

Our 20-year-old home is showing its age. We needed a new roof. We have extra funds for home improvements without incurring debt or dipping into our retirement savings.

We also can build up our cash reserves and boost our investing knowing that eventually we may face a future with significant health-care costs.

I would caution that you shouldn’t empty out or significantly deplete your savings to pay off your mortgage. You don’t want to end up house-rich and cash-poor, meaning all your money is locked into the equity in your home. Equity, I might add, that you can only tap by borrowing other people’s money or by selling your home.

Ability to delay claiming Social Security

If you claim early, at 62 rather than waiting until your full retirement age (which falls between 66 and 67 depending on your birth year), your monthly benefit may be reduced by as much as 30 percent. Every year you delay benefits beyond your full retirement age, your monthly payment will increase by 8 percent. It maxes out at 70.

The decision of when to collect Social Security is often hotly debated. It’s such a personal choice and should be based on your own circumstances.

My husband is eligible to start now, but we decided he should wait.

If your budget allows, holding out a little longer increases your monthly payment at a time when you may need to cover such expenses as long-term care, which is not covered by Medicare. Waiting also adds a little extra cushion in the event we find ourselves unable to work to earn extra income.

No rush to tap retirement funds

The recent surge in the stock market has boosted our retirement funds. On May 17, for the first time, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed slightly above 40,000 . This month, the S&P 500 index has been hitting some record highs.

Because my husband doesn’t need to tap his Thrift Saving Plan, which is the federal government’s version of a 401(k) plan, all of his retirement savings have continued to grow, benefiting from the market surges.

The C fund alone, which is a diversified portfolio of stocks of the largest U.S. companies, ended last year up a little over 26 percent.

Psychological payoff of being debt-free

A lot of folks want to second-guess our decision, pointing out how much more we might make in the stock market had we not paid off our mortgage.

Investing means taking on risk. We opted for the guaranteed return of an early mortgage payoff.

But there is another very tangible benefit to being mortgage-free — peace of mind.

Maya Angelou said it best in her poem, “Caged Bird.”

“The caged bird sings

with a fearful trill

of things unknown.”

But, oh, the freedom you have outside the cage. As Angelou writes:

“A free bird leaps

on the back of the wind

and floats downstream

till the current ends

and dips his wing

in the orange sun rays

and dares to claim the sky.”

Sometimes, watching something stressful is an effective way to get your mind off the stress in your real life, or maybe you like feeling on edge because it makes your heart race. Either way, these 25 movies will surely put you at the height of stress and make your palms sweat.

1. Uncut Gems (2019)

Uncut Gems is a unique and memorable movie because it creates anxiety and stress for the viewer without being a horror movie. Most stressful films are thriller, mysteries, or scary films, but this crime drama will have you wringing your hands and freaking out about the money, even though it’s not real life.

2. Beau Is Afraid (2023)

Beau Is Afraid is a recent horror comedy that has unorthodox cinematography that will immediately cause tension in your soul. The director, Ari Aster, creates an anxious and troubled atmosphere that puts you in the main character’s shoes, feeling just as awful as he does.

3. Whiplash (2014)

Whiplash is another film that isn’t a thriller or horror movie but will still have your heart beating and palms sweating. It’s about a talented young drama pushed to the edge by his wildly intense teacher. There are lots of yelling and tense moments that will make you feel like you’re the one who has to perform.

4. Nightcrawler (2014)

One of Jake Gyllenhaal’s best films, Nightcrawler , is about a creepy man who begins making money by filming horrible things, like crime scenes. How he sneaks around and captures dangerous things on camera will make your heart race.

5. Argo (2012)

Argo is a gripping film based on the true story of the extraction of six Americans from Iran during the hostage crisis. Ben Affleck stars in the film as the hired extractor tasked with a high-stakes job that could end in death. All the hiding and running will make you feel like a fugitive yourself.

6. Free Solo (2018)

This documentary made me wildly uncomfortable as I watched, clinging to my couch. Free Solo is about Alex Honnold, a free climber who climbs some of the craziest cliffs and mountains without any safety net. This movie is one of the most stressful because it’s all real.

7. The Descent (2005)

This horror movie is suspenseful in so many ways. A group of friends go spelunking, which is freeform cave exploring. The movie’s beginning is distressing enough as the women move through the tight caves and get stuck at points. But the anxiety jumps to the next level when monsters appear within the cave system.

8. Suspiria (2018)

Suspiria is a horrifying movie about a young dance student who attends a prestigious dance academy in Germany, but things turn dark. The confusion and creepiness of the movie keep you in suspense the whole time and are sure to give you anxiety.

9. Get Out (2017)

Get Out is one of Jordan Peele’s fantastic thrillers, and this one is particularly stressful. In the film, a hypnotist can send people to “the sunken place” where they’re trapped in their minds and can’t move their bodies. The concept alone is enough to make you sweat.

10. The Shining (1980)

Stanley Kubrick does a fantastic job of creating a high-anxiety atmosphere in his film adaptation of The Shining . You can feel the trouble welling up in the movie and the tension mounting between all the characters and within themselves. And it keeps you nervous up until the very end.

11. The Hurt Locker (2008)

The Hurt Locker is about an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit working in Iraq. Of course, the many scenes in which they defuse bombs are anxiety-inducing, but the movie’s social and political aspects can be just as stressful to watch.

12. Gravity (2013)

Gravity stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as astronauts on a mission that goes wrong. They wind up stranded, floating freely in space, and there are many moments of panic within their spacesuits that make you feel cramped and overwhelmed.

13. Train to Busan (2016)

This Korean horror film is a must-watch for anyone who loves zombie movies. Train to Busan will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Watching these poor people try to escape a brutal death will get your blood pumping and your heart racing in no time.

14. World War Z (2013)

World War Z is another zombie movie that will make you sweat and raise your adrenaline levels. Brad Pitt stars in this fast-paced movie where the zombies are speedier than usual, making their plight even more intense and nerve-racking. It’s one of those movies where there is no hope, but you still want them to make it.

15. Triangle of Sadness (2022)

Triangle of Sadness is a fantastic movie about wealthy people on a fancy yacht who have to fight for their lives when the ship goes down. The movie’s latter half is very stressful as they try to navigate their new statuses on the remote island and survive together.

16. The Menu (2022)

The Menu is a thriller starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes. It’s about a demented chef who decides to torment and eventually kill his affluent dinner guests through a series of strange dinner courses. The movie builds into an immensely intense crescendo that doesn’t offer relief until the movie is over.

17. The Abyss (1989)

Much like Gravity or The Descent , this film is distressing because it feels like an impossible situation to escape in an unfamiliar place. A team is tasked with recovering a nuclear sub that is lying at the bottom of a mysterious crevice in the deepest parts of the ocean.

18. Don’t Breathe (2016)

I think the title of this film says it all. This movie is about three criminals who break into a blind veteran’s home, thinking they can rob him easily. However, they become trapped in his home at his mercy, discovering that there is more to him than they originally thought, as they try to evade and escape him.

19. Ex Machina (2014)

If the rise of artificial intelligence and robots scares you, this movie will give you extreme anxiety. The build-up of suspense in this movie is very slow, which only makes it more troubling and gripping. You’ll still be uneasy long after the credits roll.

20. The Lighthouse (2019)

The Lighthouse is a unique modern horror film starring the talented Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. The two actors play lighthouse keepers who are rapidly descending into insanity, and the movie is a disturbing portrayal of their unraveling. I cannot overstate how anxious I was throughout this movie.

21. Captain Phillips (2013)

Captain Phillips is a wild movie based on a harrowing true story of a ship captain who manages to survive a pirate attack. From the moment the pirates step on the container ship, the stress begins. You won’t even realize how immensely on-edge you are until the moment of relief at the end, which is palpable.

22. A Quiet Place (2018)

Something about the idea of having to be completely silent is scary. As humans, we are used to communicating through sounds and experiencing the world in that way. In this brilliant movie, making a peep means death. You’ll be holding your breath for most of the film.

23. Hereditary (2018)

Hereditary is one of the best horror movies of the 2010s and does a terrifyingly good job of making you feel tense and unsettled. You’ll be stressed early on in the movie, but the tension and anxiety only build, and by the time you get to the height of the story, you’ll be in a quiet panic.

24. The Invisible Man (2020)

Another excellent horror movie if you want to get your adrenaline pumping is The Invisible Man . This masterful movie starring Elisabeth Moss follows a woman whose ex-boyfriend is stalking her, but she can’t see him. Every second of this movie will have you clutching your pillow and praying for her.

25. Speed (1994)

One of my favorite movies, Speed , stars Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock as a LAPD SWAT officer and a normal passenger, respectively. They find out a bomb is on a public bus and will detonate if the bus slows to below 50 mph, so speed is the only thing keeping everyone on the bus alive.
