THE MALÖ 37

DECK &INTERIOR LAYOUT

The interior layout of the Sweden Yachts 45 is both practical and spacious. The standard layout provides three double berths along with a comfortable dining area, galley, navigation table and two shower rooms. At Sweden Yachts we pride ourselves on being adaptable to our customer’s bespoke requirements, any layout can be altered to suit the customer.

The deck has been kept as clear as possible without compromising any sailing or safety components.

Where it all began…  Sweden Yachts was established in 1976 as Sweden Boats, building yachts to order such as the 12 meter R-Yacht which was Sweden’s contender for the America’s Cup. Shortly after completing a number of custom builds and changing the name to Sweden Yachts they took over production of the Comfort 34 from Comfort Boats, Arvika which they then renamed as the Sweden Yachts C34. Since then Sweden Yachts has gone on to produce 15 different models of boat in the range of 34 to 80 feet, all bar one were designed by Jens Östman and Peter Norlin.

The Comfort 34 designed by Kenneth Albinsson was presented around 1974 by Comfort Boats of Arvika, Sweden.

In 1978 Sweden Yachts in Stenungsund took over the model and the name was changed to C34.

Production continued until 1986 when the Sweden Yachts 340 was released. In total there were 235 boats built.

The Sweden Yachts 340 began production in 1986 with a total of 101 boats being produced until 1999. This was the first of many Sweden Yachts designed by Peter Norlin and Jens Östmann.

Sweden Yachts 36 was produced from 1984 to 1992 and was subsequently replaced by the Sweden Yachts 370. A total of 74 SY36 were built before the 370 came in to production.

A total of 36 Sweden Yachts 370 were built in total. Production began in 1993 until 1998.

The Sweden Yachts 38 began production in 1983 with a total of 85 boats built until production ceased in 1990.

A total of 73 Sweden Yachts 390 were built from 1991 until 2006.

The Sweedn Yachts 41 entered into production in 1981 with a total of 39 yachts being built. The 41 was produced until 1994.

The Sweden Yachts 50 was built from 1987 until 1996 with a total of 19 yachts built.

Only one Sweden Yachts 52 was ever produced in 1996. 

The Sweden Yachts 70 was a stunning yacht produced from 1994 until 1997 with a total of 3 yachts built. The SY 70 was available with either a sloop or ketch rig.

The Sweden Yachts 80 was the only other yacht by Sweden Yachts not designed by Jens Östman or Peter Norlin. This yacht was designed by German Frers and only two were ever produced in 1998.

They have history dating back to 1943, when Harry Hallberg opened his own yard in Kungsviken. Christoph Rassy and Hallberg never actually partnered together, but Rassy bought one of Hallberg’s boat yards when he retired.

Maxi Yachts

Maxi Yachts is a Swedish yard that has been around for ages. They design racing keel sailboats with two models to choose from.

These boats are designed by Pelle Peterson, who is a world champion and Olympic gold medalist. French Beneteau purchased 80 percent of Delphia, who owns Maxi Yachts, in 2018. Maxi is still popular among Sweden residents and in Poland.

Regina af Vindo

Regina Yachts aims to make boats with soul and to have superior quality to the finest detail. They are owned by Sweden Yachts Group, who are big names in the Swedish sailboat brands.

The company has been building boats since 1972 for every world sailor or coastal cruiser in mind. Instead of mass producing various models, they typically stick to a few designs and cater to customers’ needs.

Scanmar/Borjesson Brothers

Scanmar has an abrupt history, but the boatyard of Borjesson Brothers remains today. Nils-Erik Olofsson helped design the interiors of Scanmar boats, while Rolf Magnusson designed the hulls.

Scanmar boats were produced by Borjesson Brothers from 1975 to 1991. Today, you can still find used models of Scanmar that are excellent if in the right condition.

Marieholm Boats

Marieholm boats have most of their success dating back in the 1970’s when they built the International Folkboat. These boats were easy to sail, appealing to the eye, and had a better sail area for more performance.

The last IF-Boat was sold from their production line way back in December of 1984. However, in 2018 the company was starting up production with similar models.

Najad is a leading Swedish sailing yacht maker that wants sailors to take their sailboats all over the world. Since 1971, they have put together some of the best sailing yachts.

These can typically be handled by two people and have capabilities to go just about wherever. With a handful of models to choose from, they are an appealing option in Sweden.

Sweden Yachts

Doing any casual search for Swedish sailboat brands and sailors can find Sweden Yachts. They own a handful of boat brands but also produce their Sweden Yachts boats from 40 feet and up.

All of their hulls and interiors are built by hand by Swedish craftsmen aiming to make a one of a kind boat. They have been pushing for excellence since 1976.

Marstrom does a little bit of everything when it comes to building sailboats and other projects. In 1983, Göran Marstrom began designing boats after winning a bronze medal in the 1980 Olympics.

These sailboats happened to be the fastest on the circuit for races. Even after 10 years of hardcore sailing and rough conditions, these boats had no signs of fatigue.

Malo Yachts

Established in 1939, Malo Yachts has designed some of the most appealing sailing yachts you will find in Sweden. In conjunction with Sweden Yachts, they look to build excellent sailboats.

As an individual company, they are one of the oldest sailing yacht builders in Sweden. They continue to make Malo Yachts in various sizes up to 54 feet.

Wasa Yachts

With over 30 years of experience, Wasa Yachts has put together over 500 sailboats. They also serve as a shipyard, docking location, and various other services in Sweden.

They have plenty of models to choose from, such as the Wasa 370, 38, 41, and 420 to name a few. These are a perfect combination of quality, racing, and a family boat.

Charles and Marita Rutgersson started the family company back in 1989. When Charles was 15, he began working in Kungsviken at Harry Hallberg’s Yard.

As years went by, Charles gained valuable experience and decided to start his own company. This allowed him to make wooden interior sailboats that you could customize but also have good sailing performance.

Linjett/Rosattra

Linjett and Rosattra boatyard have a unique combination of building boats. Rosattra was originally farmland in 1886, while Linjett was the first creation of personal boats for the families associated in 1973.

Linjett continues to make sailing yachts in 34, 39, and 43 models out of the Rosattra yard. As one of the oldest shipyards in Sweden, it also provides one of the oldest brands in sailboats.

VK Yachts are one of the very few sailing yachts made up of aluminum. In fact, designer and builder Vassilis Kostoulas has sworn that aluminum is the ultimate choice for building boats.

The company is relatively new to the idea of using aluminum, as they were established in 2010. The VK 35 Aluminum Performance Sailing Yacht is their flagship sailboat, which is quite popular and has led to plenty of other boat types to be made since then.

Arcona Yachts

Arcona Yachts aims to master their craft in order to provide the best combination of a cruiser and racer sailboat. For superior quality in a Swedish sailboat brand, it does not get much better than Arcona Yachts.

The company first started in the 1970’s when founder Torgny Janson began building smaller boats. Today, they offer a handful of appealing sailing yachts for any size to imagine.

Fabola Yachts

Fabola has been making sailing yachts in Sweden since 1958. They were also the first to create non-sinkable sailing yachts.

These models include the Diva 24 DC, Diva 34 SC, Diva 40 SC, and the Campus 7.4. These boats are light, easy to handle, and are great for coastal cruising in shallow waters with a retractable keel.

Excel Yachts of Sweden

Excel Yachts has been building boats since 1909, making it one of the oldest to do it in Sweden. While they continue to manufacture boats out of their yard, they do have a few models with their name on it.

These models include the Excel 400 Classic, Excel 319, and the Excel 32. These boats were not put into production until the 1990’s.

Comfortbatar AB

The Comfortbatar is a shipyard that originated in 1964 by Kennet Albinson and with a handful of sailboats in production. It was not until the 20th century when they began making large quantities of sailboats.

The primary brand out of the yard is Comfortina, which has several different options to choose from. Their most popular models include Comfortina 35, Comfortina 39, and the Comfortina 42.

Heyman Yachts/Fantasi Yachts

Heyman Yacht Design was founded in 1991, while Celeste Yachts AB was founded in 2005. The two companies merged together in Sweden simply forming Heyman Yachts.

The company focuses on a handful of elegant styles of boats. Their flagship sailboat designs are the Fantasi 44 Classic, Fantasi 44 Pilothouse, Heyman 34 Sport, and the Celeste 36.

Oceanlake Marine AB

Oceanlake was producing and repairing boats from 2003 to 2015. The shipyard has built similar boat designs in comparison to Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group (France).

While the company does not exist anymore, they had two models that were popular among sailors. These were the Seacart 26 and the Seacart 30.

Scanyacht AB

Scanyacht AB was a shipyard that built a variety of sailboats over the years. It is unclear if they are still in business repairing boats, but they did make a handful of sailboats. These models are the Scanner 361, Scanner 391, and the Scanner 392.

Adventure Yachts

Adventure Yachts is a fairly new company in Sweden that happens to make aluminum sailboats. The founder, Bo Gummeson, had the idea after wanting to make a sailboat for him and his wife.

Swedish sailboats look similar to other sailboats, or is it the other way around? Since Sweden has a rich history of making sailboats, it could be argued that they have original designs compared to other brands.

When searching for other brands, it is difficult to pass up a Swedish brand sailboat. The craftsmanship is like no other, making it a one of a kind.

Swedish sailboat brands are competitively priced to the market needs and to other sailboats. The brand that is desired will make a difference in price on a variety of factors.

History of Sailboats in Sweden

Sweden in the early 19th century needed boats made in a crucial way through trade and war. After 1814, the demand for ships decreased specifically for war but eventually grew in demand for pleasure crafts.

As the population grew, the demand for goods and services also expanded. This meant that ships were slowly being built to help with transport. Ships would help transport wood or iron to other parts of Europe and bring back sugar, salt, and coffee.

Once the economy was somewhat stable, many shipyards began building smaller designed yachts for racing. Every now and then a sailor would come up with a design and eventually start their own business.

This pattern increased like wildfire with many sailors having their own ideas of the perfect sailboat. It was not until the last 60 years that designers began using fiberglass instead of wood to make boats. That was a revolutionary idea that other parts of the world rarely used.

As time went on, many generations of families began passing down the experience and business to their younger generations. This is why many of the popular Swedish sailboat brands still exist.

Think about Hallberg-Rassy and Malo Yachts that have an insane amount of experience and time with their brand. These are hard to replicate, making Swedish sailboats a dominant force in the industry.

Fans are convinced Travis Kelce gave Taylor Swift a hickey after she was spotted with a noticeable red mark on her neck during her Eras Tour stop in Sweden.

The pop star’s alleged love bite was visible as she pulled her hair to one side while performing “Champagne Problems” at the Friends Arena on Saturday night.

The bruise, which was located above the neckline of her blue lace dress, was nearly the same color as Swift’s iconic red lipstick.

“NOW MISS TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT IS THAT A HICKEY ON YOUR NECK OR DID YOU ‘BURN YOURSELF WITH A HAIR STRAIGHTENER’ ???” one fan wrote on X.

“Travis Kelce had big appetite,” another quipped.

“So High School is getting a little too real,” a third added, referring to the romantic track from the singer’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

“I’ve been waiting for this,” a fourth chimed in.

The hickey speculation came days after Swift’s romantic Italian getaway with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Last week, the “Lover” songstress and the football player, both 34, stayed three nights at the ritzy $21,000-per-night Villa Sola Cabiati in Lake Como, Italy.

They were spotted taking a romantic stroll at night and enjoying an outdoor candlelit dinner at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

The couple was also photographed taking a boat ride on Lake Como while holding each other close.

They appeared not to mind the rainy weather as they kissed and took photos while cruising around.

The pair’s romantic vacation came after Kelce arrived in Europe to support the 14-time Grammy winner at her 87th tour stop in Paris on May 12.

The “Cruel Summer” singer — who  started dating the Super Bowl champion last summer — gave her beau several nods throughout her concert since 87 is also his jersey number.

At one point, she repped the Kansas City Chiefs colors in a bedazzled bustier and skater skirt for the “1989” era of her show.

She also changed the lyrics to “Karma,” singing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs  coming straight home to me.”

• Crews to watch at the 2024 Final Paralympic Qualification Regatta

The beautiful Rotsee in Lucerne, Switzerland will host the 2024 World Rowing Final Olympic & Paralympic Qualification Regatta. For the first time ever, Paralympic boat classes are run as a combined event with the Olympic boat classes. There are five Paralympic boat classes being contested and across those categories, a total of 36 boats will race for just seven tickets to Paris.

Ahead of racing beginning on Sunday, we take a look at the possible crews to watch.

PR1 women’s single sculls (PR1 W1x)

Qualification Places: 1

With just one slot available, this boat class is expected to be fiercely competitive. All eyes will be on Sweden’s Ebba Einarsson, who finished second at the qualification regatta ahead of the Tokyo Paralympics, missing out on securing a place; she will undoubtedly be out for revenge. Einarsson narrowly missed out on securing the spot at the European Qualification regatta a few weeks ago in Szeged, so will try again in Lucerne. Another sculler to watch out for is Denmark’s Karina Lauridsen, who finished just behind Einarsson in Szeged. And it would be impossible to rule out Paralympian Brenda Sardon from Argentina who finished eighth in this boat class in Tokyo.

PR1 men’s single sculls (PR1 M1x)

The bronze medallist from Tokyo is yet to qualify! Brazil’s Rene Campos Pereira will be hoping to travel to his third Paralympic games in 2024, but he’ll need to overcome eight other entrants to do so. Mexican Michel Munoz Malagon also raced in Tokyo and will be looking to take the single qualification place for Paris available in Lucerne. Keep an eye out for the Czech athlete, Tomas Nevecny who came third in the European Qualification Regatta earlier this month, and will be looking to step on in Lucerne.

PR2 mixed double sculls (PR2 Mix2x)

Qualification Places: 2

This boat class sees more Paralympians from Tokyo who are yet to qualify. The boats from Brazil, France and the USA all contain one rower with experience from the last Paralympic Games, but they are new combinations and all hoping to take one of two places for Paris. Will it be one of those boats or perhaps one of the boats we saw race at the European Rowing Championships a few weeks ago. On that occasion, France were fourth whereas the German boat that will come to Lucerne came second. This could be an exciting boat class to follow!

PR3 mixed double sculls (PR3 Mix2x)

2024 will be the first time that this boat class has been raced at the Paralympic Regatta. With eight boats already qualified, competition is likely to be tough in Lucerne as the five crews battle it out for just one place. The boat class sees many athletes who have moved across from the PR3 mixed coxed four, having raced in that boat in Tokyo. Both the Italian and Ukrainian line-ups raced at the European Rowing Championships a few weeks ago, so have pedigree, but it would be impossible to rule out the Brazilian crew which was the same line-up that the final at last year’s World Rowing Championships – which none of the other crews did.

PR3 mixed coxed four (PR3 Mix4+)

This field is fairly wide open. Italy and Spain finished third and fourth respectively at the European Rowing Championships (behind Great Britain and France, who have already qualified), but both boats contain one different rower to the line-up fielded in Szeged. The Italian crew will be coxed by Enrico D’aniello who, aged 28, has already had an incredible career coxing crews to international medals at Under 19, Under 23, and Senior levels. In 2016, he steered the Italian men’s eight to the third qualification place at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta, and will be hoping to do the same for his country again this time!

But what if it is?

The NFL has made way in its schedule for Swift’s second U.S. leg of her Eras Tour during the 2024 season, the league said this week after the schedule was released Wednesday.

Mike North, NFL vice president of broadcast planning, said the league needed to factor in her American tour dates when deciding the season schedule and locations,  per Fox Sports .

The Eras Tour is scheduled at Hard Rock Stadium, the home of the Miami Dolphins, during Week 7, from Oct.18-20.

The NFL’s scheduling has sent the Dolphins on the road that week to play the Colts on Oct. 20.

Swift’s tour then hits New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome, the Saints’ home field, from Oct. 25- 27.

The Saints will head west to Los Angeles to play the Chargers in Week 8, which is the final day of Swift’s New Orleans leg.

Swift finishes her second U.S. run at Lucas Oil Stadium, where the Colts call home, with her shows running from Nov. 1 to Nov. 3. 

The Colts will head to Minnesota to face the Vikings for a Week 9 matchup to avoid a conflict.

In what North called a “pure coincidence,” Swift will be performing at the Rogers Centre, home of MLB’s Toronto Blue Jays, from Nov. 14-16 and Nov. 21-23.

Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs will play the Bills in the middle of that on Nov. 17 in Buffalo, which is about 99 miles from Toronto.

The game takes place on an off night for Swift, in theory, making it easier for the pop star to make the trek from Canada to Highmark Stadium in Western New York.

While unintentionally contributing to the “Love Story,” the NFL could stand to benefit more from Swift’s potential attendance.

Last season, Swift reportedly generated over $330 million in “brand value” for the NFL and the Chiefs through her relationship with Kelce.

Taylor Swift Fans Think Travis Kelce Proposed During Their Romantic Boat Trip in Lake Como

Forget what’s going on in Cannes, France, right now , we need to talk about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romantic outing in Lake Como, Italy.

On May 17, Swift and Kelce were photographed cuddling up and sharing a sweet kiss during a rainy boat trip in Lake Como. In another image Swift and Kelce can be seen walking hand in hand on the dock, with Swift dressed in a tan trench coat, a tiny black purse, and patent leather Mary Jane flats. You can see the photos here .

For his part, Kelce was dressed in a black-and-white swirling checkerboard-pattern sweater, black pants, and what may or may not be a Taylor Swift–inspired friendship bracelet. Another image showed Kelce holding an umbrella above Swift’s head as the rain poured down. Alexa, play “Sparks Fly.”

This rendezvous occurred the same day Entertainment Tonight reported that “a proposal might be on the horizon” for the It couple. According to ET ’s source, “Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later. They make a great match and there’s no question about that.”

Over on TikTok, a popular fan account shared a snap of Swift and Kelce posing for a photo on the docks, leading many fans to speculate about an engagement photo shoot. “The big question was popped!!!! Please let me dream,” one user replied to the video . While most of the comments section was flooded with engagement ring emojis, a couple of fans suggested the pair were simply capturing a memory on Swift’s personal camera.

Either way, it’s sweet to see Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce sneak in a romantic moment together ahead of her first Eras Tour concert in Stockholm. Just last weekend Kelce attended his girlfriend’s final concert in Paris with Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper , a.k.a. “Big Coop.”

L AKE COMO, ITALY: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are taking their romance to another level with a secret vacation this week in Lake Como, Italy. Page Six revealed images of the couple kissing while taking a romantic boat ride on Wednesday, May 16. 

The portal captured Kelce and Swift as they stepped out of Grand Hotel Tremezzo's Villa Sola Cabiati for their boat excursion. The villa is situated right on the waterfront.

Kelce and Swift wore identical black clothes. NFL player wore a black and white checkered sweater with black slacks, while the singer chose a sleeveless black A-line minidress and brown trench.

It's important to note that while the couple's photos are from their Lake Como trip, Swift is no longer in Italy. She is currently performing in Stockholm, Sweden, which is the next stop on the European leg of her Eras Tour.

Swift finished her Paris shows on Sunday, May 12 before traveling to Lake Como with Kelce. Kelce flew in for Swift's final Paris show.

On his podcast, 'New Heights ,' he gushed praise about seeing Swift play for the fifth time. He has watched her perform in Kansas City, Argentina, Australia, Singapore, and now Paris.

In a conversation with his brother, Jason, he said, "I mean, I don't know if they're just getting better or if I just keep forgetting how they are."

He added, "It was electric in there, and I'll tell you what? Kansas City showed out. Argentina was unbelievable. Australia, they partied with the best of them, and they celebrate with the best of them. Those three were unbelievable. Singapore was so unique and so fun. And then Paris was just, it was on a whole other level, man."

"And I'm just, I'm happy for everybody that's in the Eras Tour that's performing, from the dancers to the band and obviously Taylor, that it just looks like they're having so much fun up there, and they're absolutely killing it," he added. "And they're putting on a show that, you know, you won't get anywhere else."

The athlete also held Taylor's hand throughout the night, even holding an umbrella for her as they made their way through the rain.

Taylor, 34, bundled up with a tan trench coat over top of a black cocktail dress and matching flats. Meanwhile, Travis, also 34, kept warm in a black-and-white checkered sweater and black trousers.

The pair have been living la dolce vita across Europe ahead of Taylor's Eras Tour stop in Sweden, set for May 17. Travis and Taylor were  previously seen enjoying an evening stroll  after her May 12 concert  in Paris, where the  Super Bowl champ  got to witness another one of her incredible performances.

"I had a blast at Tay's show," he said on a  recent episode of his  New Heights  podcast . "Her new rendition of The Eras Tour—I suggest everybody go see it. It has her new  Tortured Poets Department —a handful of those songs—in the new show, which means there's a new segment and new lights and new dancing—new everything to the f--king show."
