The 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3 Trailer Is Here: Watch!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Glen Shepard

Season 3 of the series is returning Monday, Feb. 21.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back for season 3 with new and familiar faces and sea-level chaos! In the latest trailer for the hit Bravo series, Captain Glenn Shephard is back on the epic Parsifal III,  sailing across the beautiful waters in Menorca, Spain.

“When you go sailing, you never really know what the conditions are going to be like,” Captain Shephard says at the beginning of the trailer before the preview of the chaos aboard the luxury yacht plays out.

Returning this season are chief stew Daisy Kelliher, chief engineer Colin MacRae and first mate Gary King. Joining the vets on board the yacht are a few new faces, chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, and deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

From the looks of it, this season is set to bring all the action and drama as the crew manages to navigate various hookups (and makeout sessions), power struggles, injuries and a storm that looks like it could take the boat underwater.

In the new trailer, we see that Tom, who isn’t ashamed of showing off his self-proclaimed “dad bod,” is bringing the body shots, and Gabriela, who braves the elements and topples over in the hot tub, is bringing the fun. Meanwhile, Gary is bringing the romance and a “striptease,” and Daisy is all about a fabulous party -- all while managing the expectations of the guests who board the yacht.

However, the season isn’t going to be without some serious drama as the yacht faces strong winds and a storm that could possibly send it underwater, and Chef Marcos gets a severe head injury that could leave the crew without a head chef.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 premieres Monday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Welcome to Below Deck Sailing Yacht, where the winds are stronger, the stakes are higher, and the job is tougher than ever. This season, the crew boards Parsifal III, a 180-foot long luxury sailing yacht. The existing crew includes Captain Glenn Shephard and yachtie couple Paget Berry and Ciara Duggan, who are joined for the charter season by Chef Adam Glick ("Below Deck Mediterranean"), Jenna MacGillivray, Byron Hissey, Madison Stalker, Georgia Grobler and Parker McCown. For the first time ever, Paget and Ciara find themselves working in the same department. And with the boat in total disarray, tensions between the old and new crew begin to simmer as they hustle to get ready for their first charter of the season.

The first charter of the season is underway, and Chief Stew Jenna is already feeling the pressure as she is tasked with planning an impromptu wedding for two drunk guests. First Mate Paget is trying to keep his cool and patience with his new deck team, including Ciara, his girlfriend of four years. Parker, an inexperienced deckhand, struggles to adjust to the posh world of yachting. Meanwhile, Captain Glenn attempts a risky maneuver while climbing the mast to fix a broken sail. During the first night out, two yachties have a steamy interaction that quickly makes their professional relationship personal.

After a wild, wine-fueled, night out, Jenna wades through a sea of regrets and braces for the awkward interactions that follow. A group of high-maintenance, vegan guests board Parsifal, and Adam struggles to live up to their meatless and milkless expectations. Georgia gets attitude from Chef Adam and seeks solace in her budding friendship with Madison and burgeoning flirtation with Paget. And Paget worries about how to be both Ciara's boss and her boyfriend as tensions between them escalate making them question if the charter season will get the best of them.

Stews brace and dishes break as the last breakfast of charter is served on full tilt. To make matter worse, the deck team gets into choppy waters during a rough docking. Parker feels the strain of being on charter and his immaturity begins to show. On their night out, Paget continues to bond with the crew, particularly Georgia. Jenna comes down on Georgia's laundry system and sends her away in tears. Then, Parsifal welcomes its youngest guest to date -- a newborn. And baby talk permeates the yacht as Adam and Jenna's relationship blossoms.

Parsifal sails into strong winds with a baby on board as Glenn stumbles into awkward conversation with a flirtatious primary. Adam and Jenna's relationship heats up which stokes the fires between the Jenna and her interior team. Madison gets frustrated when Jenna sends her to do a beach picnic setup with little notice, and Georgia piles laundry on Madison's workload. Ciara and Parker get in a spat about deck duties, and Paget tries to mediate while the guests wait nearby. But everything comes to a head when Ciara discovers that the boat is crashing into the dock!

Paget's patience runs out when he's left to pick up the slack after Parsifal crashes into the dock. A new charter of men from Long Island set sail in all of their champagne-sabering, chest-bumping glory, and the crew scrambles to meet their loud and incessant demands. Adam goes into beast mode while trying to cook for the bros, but he gets comfortable with Jenna, who wants more from their relationship. The guests cruise beach bars for chicks but end up taking a dive in the drink. Madison must decide how to handle a charter guest that crosses the line. And Parker and Madison facilitate an out-of-control yacht party.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3: next episode, trailer, cast and everything we know

Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is underway and the only thing calm may be the water.

Chef Marcos cooking on Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is here, and Captain Glenn Shephard is back to balancing the demands of vacationers with the drama of his crew. And let’s face it, in most instances, the baggage of his crew far outweighs the luggage of any guest.

This season takes the show to the waters surrounding Menorca, Spain. The breathtaking views only serve as momentary interruptions to the hookups, the confrontations, the injuries and the occasional emergencies of the new season. Given the interesting dynamic that already exists between returning crew members like Daisy Kelliher and Gary King, the addition of a new chef, new stews and new deckhands make sailing anything but smooth aboard the Parsifal III.

Here’s what we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3.

When is the next Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 episode?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 premiered on Monday, February 21. New episodes continue to air on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo TV in the US. Episodes are available the next day in the UK on Hayu , which can be included as part of a Prime Video subscription. Additionally, Peacock via Sky TV or NOW TV also offers next-day streaming for Bravo content.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back with the first part of the season 3 reunion airing on Monday, June 27, at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo. After a tumultuous season full of drama and love triangles, it will be interesting to see what the cast has to say to one another when they face off.

By the way, have you read why fans are grossed out by Ashely's grilled cheese feast ?

What happens on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew having drinks

Viewers of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 will recall that the last time the crew was together, first mate Gary King was involved in a messy love triangle with deckhand Sydney Zaruba and stew Alli Dore. While fans of the show won’t have to worry about seeing King in a continuation of that love saga, based on the trailer, King will again find himself entangled in a romance. It appears he entangles with chief stew Daisy Kelliher of all people. While the two appeared to make amends at last year’s reunion after feuding all season 2, no one expected the two to be locking lips.

Additionally, it should be noted that Below Deck Sailing Yacht is done with love triangles, as Bravo TV teases this season fans can expect to see a “twisted love pentagon.” More may not turn out to be merrier in this case.

Fans of the show will also remember that Captain Glenn Shephard and his crew were involved in an accident during season 2 . Season 3 shows how Captain Shephard has been able to bounce back from the incident while also trying to avoid another potentially disastrous event.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 cast

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 includes returning crew Captain Glenn Shephard, chief stew Daisy Kelliher, chief engineer Colin MacRae and first mate Gary King. These members are joined by chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, as well as deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

Who's leaving Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

It looks like everyone's favorite Below Deck chef is calling it quits. Marcos Spaziani recently took to Twitter to announce that he has no plans on returning for another season.

I want to thank everyone for the big support and great comments. I never thought in my life I would bring so much inspiration to so many ppl and for that I’m very grateful and also blessed! But I can’t go back to the next season. #BelowDeckSailingYacht #belowdecksailing pic.twitter.com/CLTmtLV7yP June 1, 2022

Below Deck renewed for Season 12: What about Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

Aesha Scott and Daisy Kelliher confessionals

Below Deck Season 12 has been confirmed, but there are still so many questions regarding the future of Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Down Under.

Last week, Bravo announced that several shows have been green-lit for another season, with Below Deck Season 12 at the top of the list.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Captain Kerry Titheradge and a couple of Season 11 crew members will be back for another season of the OG show.

While the return of Below Deck is undoubtedly great news, fans are worried about the lack of renewals for Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

So, should Below Deck fans be concerned about the future of the Below Deck spin-offs?

Let’s take a look at what we know.

Why were Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht not renewed by Bravo?

There’s a very good reason why the two Below Deck spin-offs were not renewed right now. Neither of their already-ordered seasons have aired yet, so Bravo isn’t in a rush to get a new season in the can.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 and Below Deck Down Under Season 3 have been filmed and will eventually air on Bravo.

Last month, Bravo revealed that Below Deck Med Season 9 will premiere after Below Deck Season 11 wraps, rather than Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 , as fans had hoped.

The schedule change and the lack of news about Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht have fans in a frenzy. But there’s no reason to fear the two Below Deck spin-offs are done for good.

After all, Below Deck Med wasn’t renewed for Season 10, and we all know the Captain Sandy Yawn spin-off isn’t going anywhere before the milestone season.

It means we must wait until the already-filmed seasons air before getting news on future ones. Honestly, at this point, we would be happy with info on the seasons of Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Down Under that have been filmed.

More Below Deck news

The Below Deck world has been busy over the past week with lots of information coming out, including Fraser Olender and charter guest Steven.

Below Deck Med star Aesha Scott got engaged to her longtime love, Scotty Dobson.

Captain Sandy Yawn married her longtime love, Leah Shafer, last weekend, with several Below Deck fan favorites in attendance for the nuptials.

There’s also not great news for a Below Deck Season 11 reunion show, but not all hope has been lost just yet.

Captain Jason Chambers has shared a message with Below Deck Down Under fans while they wait for Season 3, and it’s so good!

Keep checking back with Monsters and Critics for all the Below Deck news.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Meet ‘Home,’ the Sleek 164-Foot Superyacht That Starred in ‘Below Deck’

The 164-footer was not only the backdrop for the reality series but also has hybrid propulsion and a "50 shades of white" interior., julia zaltzman, julia zaltzman's most recent stories.

Superyacht Home by Heesen

The 164-foot motor yacht Home was Heesen’s first hybrid yacht when it delivered in 2017. It was also the first yacht to combine hybrid propulsion with a Fast Displacement Hull Shape (FDHF), which is proven to outperform conventional hull forms at all speeds. Built in lightweight aluminum, Home delivers 48 percent more fuel efficiency than other yachts of the same size.

Another perk of the hybrid propulsion package is reduced noise and vibration. Sensory expert Barry Smith, founder of the Centre for the Study of the Senses, discovered that the enjoyment of fine dining and wine while cruising in electric mode is significantly enhanced.

“Our research has shown that the brain’s processing of taste is affected by noise, which reduces the tongue’s ability to detect salt, sweet and sour,” says Smith. “The beauty of Home is the ability to run at a sound of around 46 decibels—the sound level of softly falling rain—enabling those on board to enjoy food and drink with no diminution of taste.”

Home began as a speculation build by the shipyard, before the American owner stepped in to the project. The initial interior was not to his liking, so he engaged Italian designer Cristiano Gatto to rework the design. He mandated simplicity, rather than minimalism. He also requested decor inspired by his residences, reflecting their contemporary Ibiza style. One perfect example: The slinky metal chaise lounge in the main salon by Italian designer Franco Poli.

Here are 10 facts about one of the world’s first hybrid yachts.

Star of the Med

tv show below deck sailing yacht

Home ’s fortune took a sharp turn in 2022 when it became the star of the seventh season of Below Deck Mediterranean . Filmed in Malta, the reality series followed its crew over an eight-week charter season, with Captain Sandy Yawn at the helm. Unlike most yachts on Below Deck, Home retained its real name on screen. It was the first diesel-electric motor yacht to appear on the show, and in typical style, the producers added a dancing pole to the sundeck to spice up the onboard antics.

50 Shades of White

tv show below deck sailing yacht

Home takes the trend for neutral interiors to a whole new level. Alongside a color palette of black and gray with pops of deep red, the yacht features 50 shades of white, from off-white to ivory. The original owner mandated an interior that gave him a “home away from home”—hence the yacht’s name. Low-slung sofas and bespoke loose furniture create a relaxed and welcoming beach club ambience. The vessel’s teak flooring and full-height glass windows blur the distinction between inside and out.

Party Lounge

tv show below deck sailing yacht

One of Heesen’s signature areas is an upper-deck sky lounge. Home ’s casual bean bags, daybeds, and stark-white bar with LED strip lighting provide a natural extension to the alfresco dining terrace. When the doors to the aft deck are shut and the furniture removed, a mirror ball and a smoke machine are added turning the area into a dedicated party room for nighttime use.

A Dreamier Shade of Pale

tv show below deck sailing yacht

Full-height windows in the full-beam, main deck owner’s suite bounce natural light off the paler-than-pale color scheme. The off-white bed, rug, walls, and ceiling are offset with a sky-blue bed throw. There is a dressing room, an en suite with shower and a private office. There’s also a full-beam VIP cabin on the lower deck, as well as two double cabins and two twin cabins to accommodate 12 guests, including families.

Moody Sundeck

tv show below deck sailing yacht

Home ’s sundeck is the hub of the boat. There are sun lounges forward with privacy glass safety screens to shelter guests from sea spray and wind. Beneath the hardtop bimini is a large sit-up bar and lounge area, which also doubles as an outdoor dining area. The bar lights up in soft pastel shades at night to bring the party atmosphere. Aft is a Jacuzzi, while a projector and a screen set-up transform the deck into an outdoor cinema.

On the Nose

tv show below deck sailing yacht

The yacht is easily spotted on the horizon, thanks to its distinctive plumb bow. The vertical front increases Home ’s waterline length, helping it to slice through waves and lift in rougher water. It guarantees a smoother and faster ride for guests, as well as creating more room on the interior for crew accommodations. For a more immersive journey, a telescopic seat on the foredeck rises from the bow for 360-degree views.

Sea Terrace

tv show below deck sailing yacht

A central staircase on the main deck aft leads down to an oversized swim platform that doubles as a sea-level sun lounge. With plenty of room for daybeds and sunrise yoga sessions, it’s the perfect waterside hang out.

The Athletic Club

tv show below deck sailing yacht

The lower-deck gym is a full-beam, air-conditioned space for guests to sweat it out. It’s kitted out with a range of equipment, including a workout bench, Techno Gym dumbbells, an exercise bike, and a rowing machine. When guests are done with their workout, they’re just a few steps from the sea for the ultimate plunge to cool off.

The Electric Package

tv show below deck sailing yacht

The twin 805 hp MTU engines (smaller than those typically fitted on a yacht of this size) can be operated in four different cruising modes: hybrid (with noise levels in the owner’s stateroom measuring as low as 46 decibels), economic, cruising (consuming as little as 12 gallons per hour at 9 knots), and boost, which pushes the boat to a top speed of 16.8 knots.

Fast, Efficient Hull

tv show below deck sailing yacht

At the time of launch, Home was the first yacht to combine the super efficiency of an FDHF hull, designed by Van Oosenan Naval Architects, with hybrid propulsion. The combination was celebrated with a RINA green award presented by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 1 Almost Sank the Series

The first season of 'BDSY' traveled some rough seas.

The Big Picture

  • Below Deck Sailing Yacht had casting issues and crew dynamics that led to a messy first season.
  • The show learned from its mistakes and retooled for Season 2, introducing a new cast that brought magic to the series.
  • Captain Glenn and his new trio have become the longest-running and best group within the Below Deck franchise.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht was the second spin-off of the flagship program that was launched on Bravo. The first season introduced viewers to the crew of Parsifall III, a motoryacht with a twist: a big, ol' sail! Led by Captain Glenn Shephard , the first season was filled with the typical yachties that have made fans love the Below Deck programs. They even welcomed a familiar face in Chef Adam Glick to the yacht. With two seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean under his belt, he was meant to help steer the ship to success. But something didn't work. Was it the awkward boatmance between Chef Adam and Chief Stew Jenna MacGillivray ? Was it the real-life couple working on deck, Padget Berry and Ciara Duggan ? Whatever it was, after Season 1, Below Deck Sailing Yacht essentially emptied the bunks of Parsifall III and Captain Glenn returned with an entirely new crew — and the rest is history. Season 1 had growing pains and needed to be retooled in order for Below Deck Sailing Yacht to truly sail off into glory.

Below Deck has been one of Bravo's biggest assets since its 2013 debut. Following the work lives of a crew on a superyacht, Below Deck showcases the highs and lows of one of the most stressful jobs on the planet. Sure, it looks all luxurious and incredible, but the drama is real. Like many Bravo hits, to capitalize on its success, Bravo green lit Below Deck spin-offs. Following Below Deck Mediterranean , Below Deck Sailing Yacht followed the same formula, but it had growing pains that almost kept it docked forever .

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

In a reality TV series, a crew aboard a luxury sailing yacht navigates the challenges of providing five-star service to affluent guests while managing personal dynamics and the unpredictable nature of the sea. Each episode reveals a blend of high-seas adventure and behind-the-scenes drama among the crew members.

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Botched Its Casting

Below Deck Sailing Yacht set sail in 2020 in the stunning locale of Greece. With the job tougher than ever and the stakes higher than before, the success of Parsifall III truly depended on the wind in their sails. Beause it came with a new type of vessel for viewers to see, the 180-foot luxury sailing yacht was billed as an even grander once-in-a-lifetime experience. Unlike the flagship franchise's Captain Lee Rosbach and the first spin-off's Captain Sandy Yawn , Below Deck Sailing Yacht relied on an old faithful captain who spent many years aboard the ship. While the others have gone from vessel to vessel, Captain Glenn Shephard's vast knowledge of Parsifall III allowed him to welcome the viewers into his home away from home. Captain Glenn wasn't there to be a reality star ; he was there to do his job, the job he loved to do. To supplement the reality show tropes that make these programs watchable, Below Deck Sailing Yacht had to ensure the rest of the cast was filled with personalities that would be enticing to watch.

Since Parsifall III already had members of the crew on board, the show decided to keep two members of the sailing yacht's crew, casting them as the power couple that they thought fans would fall in love with. Prior to the start of the season, Paget Berry was the yacht's First Officer, the closest position to a Bosun, while Ciara Duggan was a stewardess, working in the interior. But for some bizarre reason, likely for added drama, Captain Glenn pushed Ciara to the exterior to act as a deckhand, which meant she would be working under her boyfriend.

Fans also learned that this would mark the first time the pair ever worked directly with one another in this capacity. Has this ever worked to solidify a healthy relationship? Very rarely. With two familiar faces on Captain Glenn's staff, Below Deck Sailing Yacht brought on a Below Deck alum to help integrate the show into the Below Deck Cinematic Universe. Chef Adam Glick had a whiplash of a journey during his time on Below Deck Med . Often found bickering with Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier , undermining her authority, and going rogue with his meals like putting onions in dishes when the primary specifically put on his preference sheet that he did not want them, Chef Adam was an interesting option to be the familiar face for the franchise to start with. But hey, an angry, temperamental chef is a stereotype for Below Deck so it seemed fitting .

The Interior Team Was a Nightmare on Season 1 of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht'

Knowing Chef Adam had a rocky relationship with the head of the interior, it was expected that whoever was in charge on Parsifal III would suffer the same fate as their counterpart in the Med. But it couldn't be further from the truth. Jenna MacGillivray was brought on as Chief Stew. She was not the warm and cuddly personality, but had a similar demeanor to the original Below Deck Chief Stew Adrienne Gang . Both women's mission was to assert their authority and had run-ins with many of their colleagues. For Jenna, there was one exception: A second romance bloomed on Parsifall III between Chef Adam and Chief Stew Jenna.

On paper, watching love blossom should warm the hearts, but this duo was toxic, and Jenna left a lot to be desired, as she rarely ever took accountability for focusing on her school-girl romance with Chef Adam over her duties as Chief Stew. The interior team is central to the story, as they spend the most time with the guests on camera. Jenna became unbearable when she fell in love , and things got messy. Her obsession with her relationship over her job almost sank the ship.

With so many questionable choices in the cast, there had to be someone on the crew that could breathe sanity into the Below Deck spin-off. Turning to the interior, Jenna's two stewardesses were Madison Stalker and Georgia Grobler . Madison very quickly became the audience's voice of reason as she saw the chaos on board. She dealt with the brunt of Jenna's frustrations and lack of interest in establishing a working relationship with her. Madison was great at her job, she just never got the praise she deserved. She became the season's punching bag; hence, the majority of her story was filled with Jenna trying to tear her down, and Chef Adam following suit because he had to side with his girl.

When it came to Georgia, the 3rd Stew was clearly unaware of relationship boundaries. It's one thing to have a crush, but when you're living and working with your crush, whose girlfriend is also sleeping feet away from you, perhaps it's best to turn things down a few notches. Georgia's crush on Paget was simply uncomfortable to watch. Her entire journey on Below Deck Sailing Yacht comprised of trying to serenade Paget with the only original song Georgia had in her songbook. What was worse? Paget fed into it — with his girlfriend present! Her flirtation was cringe, and yet it wasn't even as hard as Jenna went for Chef Adam.

'Below Deck Down Under' Is Bravo's Best Kept Secret

On deck, joining Ciara and Paget for half the season, was Parker McCown . He resigned from his position due to his well-being, as his back and forth with Paget was wearing him down. Parker was replaced by Christopher Miller , who was almost a non-existent personality for the remainder of the charter season. He was kind, he worked well, but suffered a back injury that nearly derailed his entire career. Unlike any other Below Deck series, Below Deck Sailing Yacht featured the Chief Engineer as an on-screen character. Byron Hissey was much older than the majority of the crew, so his presence wasn't as drama-filled comparatively. As a character, he was a swell guy, but he just didn't have the aspirations to make good reality television.

Every season of Below Deck features some sort of mess. Maybe it's caused by the elite vacationers or the drama within the bowels of the ship, but the mess of Below Deck Sailing Yacht 's first season was the mess of its cast. Casting is hard; these nine individuals lacked chemistry and didn't gel. There's no predicting how individuals will react — it's the core of the experiment of reality television. The stories that this cast created were ripe for drama, they just didn't play out well.

Thankfully, the show learned from its mistake and retooled the entire second season. The only returning cast member was Captain Glenn. Fans were then introduced to Chief Engineer Colin MacRae , Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher , and First Officer Gary King, and magic was instantly made! Captain Glenn and his new trio have remained with the program since Season 2, are the longest running tenured group within the Below Deck franchise, and make it one of the best in the franchise. The moral of this story is perfection takes time. You won't always catch lightning on the first try. Below Deck Sailing Yacht is proof. They ditched the navy blue polos and opted for those infamous orange ones ; that's how badly they needed to distance themselves from that first season.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is available to stream on Peacock in the U.S.

Below Deck Franchise's 2024 Schedule Explained

  • Below Deck franchise continues to dominate TV screens in 2024 with new seasons, spin-offs, and drama-filled adventures for fans.
  • Expect delays in the airing schedule for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 due to misconduct allegations against crew member Gary King.
  • Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 is set to premiere on June 3, offering viewers thrilling drama, eccentric guests, and new challenges.

The multiple shows in the Below Deck franchise will air in the 2024 TV airing cycle; however, the schedule has changed from what fans became accustomed to in recent years. When the Original (OG) Below Deck show premiered in 2013, the reality series quickly became one of the best shows of the year. Below Deck 's unique premise of detailing the lives of crew members on a yacht during a charter season drew in an impressive 1.4 million viewers per episode.

Unsurprisingly, Below Deck quickly spurned multiple spin-offs, including Below Deck Mediterranean , Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Below Deck Down Under , and Below Deck Adventure , most of which became equally successful as the OG show. The 2024 TV airing cycle for shows in the franchise kicked off with the Below Deck season 11 premiere on February 5, 2024. Still, fans wouldn't have to wait that long as another show is lined up to premiere just weeks after the finale.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Is Delayed

The new bdsy season wont air for a while..

After months of anticipation, Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans will have to wait a bit longer for season 5 to premiere, with emerging reports that Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 will take its spot in the 2024 TV airing schedule. Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 was expected to air after the OG Below Deck season 11 runs its course come June, but that has changed. According to reports, the new Below Deck Sailing Yacht season may have been delayed due to crew member Gary King, who was accused of misconduct during Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4.

A makeup artist who also worked on the show, Samantha Suarez, accused Gary of making inappropriate moves on her in a hotel room. Although Gary came out to deny the allegations, producers may edit Gary out of the new season or cancel it altogether. While the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew has been dropping hints about filming another season in the past couple of months, in addition to some on-set leaked pictures, there have been no reports of an official casting or an airing date for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 Is Next

Fans will be getting a lot of below deck med.

Below Deck Mediterranean will return to the screens for its ninth season on June 3 , just five months after the season 8 finale. Since its debut, Below Deck Med has brought in substantial viewership numbers and the ratings for season 8 were also impressive. Below Deck Med season 8 featured all the traits that have made the show a favorite in recent years, with love triangles, an early exit, and fiery crew drama. Still, Captain Sandy Yawn will once again return to the helm of the yacht Mystique as she and her crew cruise through Athens, Greece.

Aesha Scott will return to Below Deck Med Season 9 as Chief Stew after her previous stint on the show as Second Stew during Season 4. Elena Dubaich will also return to the show as a stew after filling in for former crew member Kyle Viljoen during Below Deck Med season 7. According to the preview, Below Deck Med season 9 is set to be another dramatic season featuring strange guests and never-before medical and mechanical issues.

When Will Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Air?

Below deck down unders return date is still unknown.

Since its debut, Below Deck Down Under has become a fan favorite, and after the dramatic events of season 2, the show has been renewed for a third season (via Premiere Date ). However, despite its renewal announcement, the premiere date of the new season has not been announced yet . The last two seasons of the show premiered during the Winter TV schedule, but that changed in 2024. Under the direction of Captain Jason Chambers, Below Deck Down Under crew members have been praised for positively portraying their personal lives and challenges faced during a charter season.

However, that almost changed during season 2 when bosun Luke Jones climbed into the third stew Margot Sisson's bed absolutely naked. Second stew Laura Bileskalne also entered deckhand Adam Kodra's room despite his protest, climbed into his bed without consent, and attempted to give him a massage before producers kicked her out. Luke and Laura were immediately fired by Captain Jason , who later revealed NBC and Bravo would put some new guidelines in place to prevent similar events from occurring (via Yahoo! ).

When Will Below Deck Season 12 Premiere?

New season of below deck is already in production.

The OG Below Deck returned to the screens for a historic eleventh season on February 5, 2024. With Captain Kerry Titheradge taking over at the helm after Captain Lee Rosbach's exit, the show has been delivering on its promise of another drama-filled adventure with just two episodes left before its May 20 finale. Nonetheless, Below Deck seems to have been renewed for its twelfth season after fans spotted Captain Kerry piloting the St. David on Simpson Bay Bridge in Sint Maarten.

Alongside Captain Kerry, who waved at photographers, fans also spotted Sunny Marquis, which indicated the filming of Below Deck season 12 was truly underway . Still, there haven't been any official announcements about when Below Deck season 12 will premiere, but the debut will definitely take some time, considering the crew is currently filming. However, with several Below Deck spin-offs lined up to premiere during the coming months, fans might have to wait till early 2025 before the OG show returns to the screens.

What Happened To Below Deck Adventure?

Below deck adventure might be getting the axe.

Below Deck Adventure premiered in 2022, promising to be another standout spin-off; however, the show failed to meet the high expectations both fans and the producers had set for it. For one, the show's cast hugely underperformed, with deckhand Kyle Dickard being fired after just three episodes. Meanwhile, Chief Stew Faye was criticized for being too bossy , and fans found Chef Jessica Condy's drama with crew mates unnecessary. Due to how unimpressive the first couple of episodes were, ratings for Below Deck Adventure plummeted and didn't recover for the rest of the season.

Since the season 1 finale, no new information has been released about Below Deck Adventure, and there are signs the show might not be getting another season.

Since the season 1 finale, no new information has been released about Below Deck Adventure , and there are signs the show might not be getting another season. Captain Kerry Titheradge, one of the standouts of the debut season, has been moved on to the OG Below Deck show. While other shows in the franchise have aired at least once, there has been no space for Below Deck Adventure in the yearly TV schedule , and it looks like it might be the first show in the franchise to be canceled.

Below Deck airs Monday at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.

Below Deck Recap: Plating and Bowling

tv show below deck sailing yacht

It would be exciting to think of this episode as the calm before the storm, but I fear the end of the season will more likely be a drizzle. Speaking of drizzles, the main drama again is Paris and Fraser micromanaging the chef with their plating suggestions. (More on that in a moment.) Before the charter even starts, Ben and Dylan are too excited about the primaries’ daughter and her friends who aren’t old enough to rent a car. Sunny briefly shuts down their ogling and comments with a curt “Enough.” Thank you, Sunny. Dylan gets the honor of being first to talk to the girls. He’s the closest to their age and proves it by seizing the opportunity to make an STD ( St. David ) joke while adjusting their umbrellas.

Fraser is happy to have a family onboard because that’s what he’s used to working for. He assigns Paris to run service for the beach picnic and specifically tells her to manage Nick. As Nick preps the lunch, Fraser suggests plating the sushi, but Nick declines since it’s more work. I’m confused about what the alternative is if they don’t serve it on plates, then realize I’m an idiot who doesn’t deserve to be a luxury-yacht guest; plating of course means individual servings, whereas Nick has prepared everything family-style. On the beach, Paris makes individual plates out of this, and they don’t look particularly nice, though her tablescape is actually pretty. Nick, annoyed, lets her do what she wants and leaves before the main course to get back to the boat. He gripes that he has three stripes to her one but doesn’t pull rank. Nick has a defeated,  smoking–Ben Affleck–meme  energy about him.

We see a few phone calls home in this episode, and two are sweet. Barbie tells her mom about Kyle, and he pops in to say hello. Barbie’s mom digs the accent. Xandi video-chats with her little brother, the most important person in her life. She says she took care of him growing up when their parents fought. The third phone call feels more like a producer wanted a check-in from Sunny. Sunny explains to a friend that Ben forced her to take a step back in their relationship, but it feels easy and fun now, not worrying whether they have feelings for each other. She’s done plucking metaphorical “He likes me, he likes me not” petals every day. This emotional breakthrough emboldens Sunny to make out with Ben on the clock. Ben thinks the space between them has worked in his favor and is starting to genuinely like Sunny. “Space” must mean realizing he doesn’t have any other options.

That afternoon, Nick tells Kerry how Paris changed the plating plan at the beach. Kerry later asks Fraser if there was some confusion over the presentation. Fraser says there wasn’t, but Kerry can tell he’s being coy about it. Fraser had no problem complaining to the captain before, so it’s unclear why he chooses to lie now.

Dylan serves the girls Sex on the Beaches, which raises my suspicions that these guests can’t legally drink in the U.S. He tells Sunny he has his eye on Sarah, the daughter of the primaries, though he doesn’t know her name. His flirting game continues to be unmatched. Alone in his room, Dylan psychs himself up by rapping about taking her to his cabin and his big dick. I never thought I’d miss the mantras.

Tonight’s dinner is casino themed. Paris thinks the octopus needs a green drizzle, and Nick says she can do it herself. I have to say, it does tie the plate together. For the brioche and bread-and-butter-pudding dessert, Paris tells Nick he needs more gas in the whipped-cream canister. He ignores her and the cream comes out a bit soupy. Nick goes into his cabin to scream. Nevertheless, the guests and Kerry love the food. It’s what’s on the inside that counts.

After dinner, the girls go to the hot tub and play truth-or-dare with Dylan. They dare him to take off his shirt and do his best dance for them. His dance moves are cringey, but dousing himself in water gets him cheers. Dylan tells us in an interview that he decided to play it safe and not hook up. To be clear, nothing seemed to suggest it was a legitimate opportunity. He does get Sarah’s Instagram, and they make vague plans to party in LA. It’s a nice little win for Dylan and much more realistic than hooking up when her whole family is right downstairs.

The next morning, Nick is cooking crêpes for breakfast when Paris has the gall to tell him which heat setting to cook on and says he needs more butter. I’m appalled. Until now, her suggestions have been seemingly in line with Fraser’s instructions and presentation focused, but telling a chef “low and slow” is outright insanity. Nick is 100 percent right in thinking she needs to back off.

Above deck, it’s windy, and Kerry is nervous about docking. The boat next to their slot has a dinghy out that makes it a tighter space. In typical  Below Deck  fashion, the music amps up like we’re in a heist movie and they pull it off. The crew makes out with $25,000, which seems like a super-generous tip for a one-night charter. Is it possible a night got edited out? Barbie says she’ll put the money toward clothes and isn’t worried about her dad cutting her off because she can resell her stuff and be fine for a couple of years. As a parting gift, co-primary Rob offers to host everyone on their yacht in Newport Beach and be their crew. Maybe he’s too generous for his own good.

Kerry calls Paris up to the bridge to discuss the beach picnic. He says it’s not her place to argue with the chef, and she points the finger toward Fraser: She assumed he and Nick had discussed plating before. Kerry agrees it’s between the chief stew and the chef, not the rest of the team. Kerry reminds Paris to stay professional and not be dragged into it. Dragging is questionable — I’d say Paris leaped into it willingly, but Fraser definitely encouraged the behavior. When Paris returns downstairs, Barbie asks if she got fired. This makes me wonder if there’s more going on that we haven’t seen. Next, Kerry brings in Fraser and Nick to address the communication breakdown. He lays down the law: The stews shouldn’t be telling Nick how to do his job, and Nick needs to be more assertive. There’s only one charter left, and Kerry won’t let it fall to shit. Fraser suggests they go through all the menus beforehand and he’ll run all services going forward. Nick agrees with this plan, which isn’t the strongest start to being more assertive but it seems promising.

We get a preview of next week’s guests at the preference-sheet meeting: The primary, Michele, is a recently separated pediatric dentist from Maryland bringing her girlfriends for a freedom tour to celebrate her 50th birthday “Beyoncé style.” I have a nightmare vision of Ben and Dylan doing the “Single Ladies” dance and hope it doesn’t come true.

Earlier, Kyle and Barbie were sneaking stairwell kisses, and all seemed well until the crew’s night out. Kyle wears a kilt, which Barbie thinks is not hot at all and wants him to change. She gets that it’s a “heritage thing” but is nervous that he’s not wearing anything under it and likes to show his “situation.” It’s not the worst look of the night by far; Dylan wears a bow tie with a short-sleeved button-down, and Nick wears a tie that looks lonely without a jacket. It would be one thing if they were going to a fancy dinner, but they’re going … bowling.

Kyle loves that he’s winding Barbie up over the kilt. He decides that if he wins bowling, he’s flashing. He does indeed win and delivers on the promise. Barbie’s embarrassed. As usual, she fears her family’s reaction. She thinks they’ll have a heart attack and gets Kyle to stop flashing the cameras. He doesn’t want to make her uncomfortable and knows he’s in damage-control mode now. Barbie says, “I still love you,” to which Kyle replies, “Same.” Earlier, she used the L-word more jokingly, but now I question whether we’ve missed a big relationship moment if they’re throwing it around already.

Back on the boat, Xandi is proud to be going to sleep sober. Go, Xandi! The couples opt for their usual sleeping arrangements. Cuddling, Kyle says he’s wrapped around Barbie’s finger. She hopes the end of the season won’t be the end of them, but she’s still scared that they’re so different. Barbie says she’s starting to fall in love, which is total  Bachelor -speak but does reassure me that we didn’t miss the first proper “I love you”s. She has changed a lot in her time on the yacht, but it’s TBD if she can love — let alone date — “somebody who doesn’t wear pants.”
