The Independence is a Mediterranean & Italian restaurant on the sea, and we can cook your food to your dietary, allergies, and religious restriction. If you have specific dietary requirements or would like our chef to prepare a particular menu for your enjoyment then please let us know when arranging your charter.

The seafood is bought fresh on the morning of the trip at the local market.

Our bar is fully stocked with a selection of cold beers, quality wines and spirits. Offering a range of exotic cocktails and non alcoholic beverages, quenching thirst is never an issue whilst on board.

• Full insurance coverage

• Cancellations less than 24h before the tour are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount
• Cancellations the day of the tour will be charged full
• 2 months before the begin of your cruise: at least 50% of the total price to secure the booking
• until 2 weeks before the begin of your cruise: 100% of the total price.
• Cancellation up to 2 months prior to the cruise: 50% of the total booking price.
• cancellation 2 weeks before up to the day of the trip: 100% of the total booking price.
• All payments must be made by cash or bank deposit to Samui Sailing Yacht Co., Ltd.
• The company reserves all rights to change the itinerary depending on the weather and sea conditions

The 105.97ft  /32.3m  Custom motor yacht  ‘Independence’  was built in 1984 by Burger and last refitted in 2010. Previously named Grand Cru, she’s a great choice for your next charter vacation.

Independence’s interior layout sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 rooms. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.

A General Description of Sailing Yacht INDEPENDENCE

This sailing yacht INDEPENDENCE is a 53 m 174 (ft) important steel vessel which was crafted at Perini Navi and her design plans were devised by Perini Navi. A impressive ketch motor sailer INDEPENDENCE is a very high quality Italian built yacht which was launched to praise in 1998. She could be considered a modern ketch motor sailer. This graceful superyacht was created by naval architects Perini Navi. Budd Baty undertook the designing of the interior.

S/Y INDEPENDENCE can accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins. She has an atrium with two stairways leading to the 6 guest accommodations below. All have large portholes offering light and views. A formal lounge and dining room are located forward. The fly bridge has comfortable seating stunning views of the yacht under sail and a ten person hot tub plus a covered helm station with complete controls.

Building & Design of Luxury Yacht INDEPENDENCE

Perini Navi was the naval architect involved in the formal superyacht design work for INDEPENDENCE. Her interior design was realised by Budd Baty. Perini Navi is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this boat. Italy is the country that Perini Navi completed their new build sailing yacht in. After her official launch in 1998 in Viareggio she was passed over to the owner after sea trials and testing. The main hull was constructed with steel. The sailing yacht main superstructure is fabricated extensively with aluminium. With a beam of 11.43 m / 37.5 ft INDEPENDENCE has fairly large internal space. A fairly 8.29 (27.2 ft) draught of 8.29m (27.2ft) affects the list of overall marinas she can enter into, depending on their individual depth. She had refit maintenance and modification carried out by 2008.

S/Y INDEPENDENCE Main Engines & Performance:

Fitted with twin DEUTZ-MWM diesel main engines, INDEPENDENCE is able to attain a top speed of 16 knots. Coupled to the INDEPENDENCE engines are twin screw propellers. She also has an efficient range of 4000 miles whilst underway at her cruise speed of 13 knots. Her total HP is 2512 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1848. As for bow thruster maneuverability she was fitted with Schottel.

The sizeable luxury yacht S/Y INDEPENDENCE is able to accommodate as many as 12 people and has 9 qualified crew.
