After several months of looking and two failed surveys, I have just completed the purchase of my first boat, a Jeanneau Merry Fisher 795. As a newcomer to boating I have to admit my first impression of boat brokers was pretty poor (compared to other industries I deal with) - descriptions were definitely on the optimistic side, boats were untidy, dirty and generally poorly presented. No excuses, just very poor sales and I would be careful who to list my boat with in the future. Then I came across Ancasta (Leo Walters) who shone bright like a beacon. The description of the boat was accurate, minor faults highlighted and extra pictures provided on request. Communications with Ancasta have been excellent, the boat was very well presented for inspection and after sales Ancasta remained interested to ensure my experience was positive. I wouldn't hesitate going to Ancasta for another purchase and if you are thinking of selling a boat, consider using Ancasta, you will get better service and value for money than many other brokers out there. And as a buying customer I would feel confident buying through them so you would be more likely to sell to me!

I thought that I would drop you a line to say how very pleased we were with the help and support we got from Kostas and Josiane in Ancasta Badalona. We always felt that they were working for us, not just to make a sale. In particular Kostas was able to help and advise on some of the little touches to make Ione look a little better for sale – replacing a rusty heads jubilee clip, acid cleaning around some seacocks etc. In addition he went well beyond the call of duty in taking me to his chiropractor when I wrecked my back cleaning in lockers! Euroyachts are a long established boat sales and service company located in Scotland. We have bases in Largs Yacht Haven and Troon Yacht Haven. At Largs Marina we operate from the largest custom built boat sales Showroom in the UK. Our business was established in 1965 and we have been distributors for Jeanneau sailing and motorboats since 1978.

Ronnie and Angus Scott

Our name, and that of founder Ronnie Scott, has been at the forefront of pleasure craft retailing in the UK since the late sixties.

Ronnie Scott pioneered the use of indoor boat sales premises, part exchange and imported yachts for national distribution as early as 1962, with the still prolific East German Folkboat.

Since 1978 we have enjoyed a unique trading relationship with French builders  Jeanneau , running the national distribution until 1993, and today are responsible for distribution in Scotland. Ronnie Scott’s son Angus worked in the business full time from 1981 until the company was sold to Yachts.co in October 2020. In his time in the business Angus ran the UK and Irish distribution of Jeanneau boats from our Hamble office between 1988 and 1992 and more recently was responsible for the development of our Largs Showroom. Angus Scott ran the business from 1994 to 2020.
