Our charter fleet currently includes a number of Ellis 36s, a Hinckley Talaria, and a Wilbur 38 Flybridge Cruiser. All Charter vessels include a small tender on davits and proper cruising/safety equipment.

Your bareboat charter starts with a full tutorial on the operation of the vessel in Southwest Harbor. This will likely be followed by a cruise up Somes Sound surrounded by Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park . If you choose, you can hire a Captain who is familiar with local Maine waters.

CHARTER BOAT DETAILS

“Nena” is a comfortable and spacious cruiser that sleeps 4 people and has ample space for guests (up to 12). The generous galley is located up in the shelter. Operational helms and comfortable settees are located both in the shelter and up on the flybridge. 

Fast and Nimble - The Hinckley T40 "Timbuktu" provides a fun boating experience while avoiding the prolific lobster trap lines that populate the Maine coast. Timbuktu is outfitted for day-cruising and/or overnighting, with or without a Captain.

Added to the fleet in 2020, this Wilbur 38 flybridge Cruiser is ready for cruising the Downeast Maine coast. A tender and outboard will be included. This vessel will be fully equipped for overnighting and lengthy cruising. 

New to the fleet in 2024, this Ellis 36 Flybridge Cruiser sleeps four down below with a full galley topside. Loaded with systems and easy to operate with bow & stern thrusters, this vessel will be fully equipped for overnighting and extended cruising. 

2023 Ellis 36 Express Cruiser "All That Jazz". Includes: Ellis Cantilevered seats & Ellis fold-out tables, a Davit system with tender, diesel heating & cooking, solar charging, and a DC-AC inverter. Sleep 2 in the cabin and 2 in the salon. Ample seating for up to twelve people.

The Ellis 36 Bowrider Express "Marengo" is arguably the prettiest boat in Maine's waters. It is a premier yacht - available to clients who are planning to hire a Captain. The seating is comfortable and the galley is well-equipped - this is the perfect yacht for hosting cocktail cruises for up to 12 people.

Custom Designed and built by Ellis Boat Company, this beautiful Ellis 36 Express Cruiser features a custom top design, 465 hp Yanmar diesel engine, Garmin electronics, generator, and more. 

This Ellis 36 Express Cruiser is built with an extra long cabin allowing for a settee and extra sleeping accommodations below. Charter features include a large mounted grill in the cockpit and a big tender with 9hp Yamaha outboard. Additional information and photos here. 

Formerly "Too Priceless" this Ellis 36 has seen quite a few upgrades from Ellis Boat Company recently, including a new Garmin plotter, generator, heat and air conditioning, induction cooktop, built-in grill, and a full shelter enclosure.

The Hinckley Picnic Boat EP is a classic and fun-to-drive Maine yacht. This boat has a Yanmar 400 Engine with a single Hamilton Jet Drive. Hire a Captain or bareboat this vessel yourself. 

This Ellis 28 Express Cruiser, fully restored in 2017, features a 225 hp Volvo Diesel engine, bow thruster, Garmin plotter/radar, v-berth, heating system, head, hot water, salt/fresh water, anchor, small galley, and tender on davits.

The boat is very nice and comfortable for 8 persons. You can bring food and drinks on board and they are well equip so you can spend a wonderful afternoon even if the weather is not perfect. Captain Nils and first mate Todd made the adventure that much more special. Both were very welcoming are very knowledgeable about the area. If you desire they point out places of interest (and wildlife like sturgeon jumping out of the water), take pictures, and make you feel comfortable. The catamaran is beautiful and very clean! There are a lot of places to sit and relax. There is an inside kitchen with seating and a bathroom down a set of stairs (again very clean). At the back of the boat is a table suitable for a meal, snacks or if you want to get out of the wind for a bit. The front has additional seating and nets to lie on or you can choose to sit up with the captain for an eagle’s eye view! It was a great fall day for sailing and the 2 hours went by way too quick! We were 3 couples going out late afternoon for a sunset sail. I worked via email with Ashley on a few questions and to book. Answers were prompt and helpful. I let her know we had some flexibility a few days before and to let us know if there was a better day/time to go out based on conditions. She recommend going a day earlier due to calmer seas and we are so glad we did that. The day of our trip Nils was right there to greet us and get us acclimated to the boat. We had such a wonderful trip out on the ocean and up river. It could not have been more beautiful and fun. The boat was amazing, very large and comfortable. Nils and Ashley were so accommodating on our full day tour. We absolutely loved our time on their catamaran. Easy to book, easy to find, great communication. Immaculate boat. We went to the reef to snorkel but the water was a bit too rough for us to try. On our way out and back in, we saw several large sea turtles playing in the water. Absolutely breathtaking shades of blue waters. We stopped and anchored down near the shore of a near key and enjoyed a quick swim. Brought our own lunch aboard and enjoyed it in the shade down below. However, Bimini Charters (Ashley and Nils) made us realize charters are NOT all the same. Here were our highlights: - Arrived at the dock and received VIP parking in front of the boat. (We didn’t have to carry out food/drinks/stuff further than 5-10feet) - The boat was absolutely stunning and clean and felt as if it were brand new. - Family/Friend environment. They treated you like a long time friend of theirs. - Sunset was stunning! They, of course, positioned the boat in the direction of the sunset BUT did it in a way that made us feel like we were the only boat out there. - Snorkeling. They took us to a beautiful reef where we saw Lobsters, Parrot Fish, Tarpon, Nurse sharks, Barracuda. Also, along the way we even got to see dolphins and turtles! Lighthouse Tour (3 Hours)

Cruise along the midcoast shoreline discovering 3 of the area’s most beautiful and historic Lighthouses: Curtis, Rockport and Rockland. Spot local seals, porpoise and enjoy the beautiful breezes the Penobscot Bay has to offer. Travel fee may be added based on pickup location. Add additional time at $500 for each additional hour, plus tax and gratuity.

$1,295 + 20% gratuity. *Fuel surcharge may apply based on your requested activities.

1/2 Day Cruise & Adventure (4 hours)

Plan a morning or afternoon of cruising across Penobscot Bay to one of the many islands only accessible by boat.  Hike Warren Island National Park, visit Goose Cove on Deer Isle, or visit Seal Island.  Bring a picnic lunch or have our crew arrange lunch aboard.  This trip is a wonderful way to see Midcoast Maine from a different point of view. Travel fee may be added based on pickup location. Add additional time at $500 for each additional hour, plus tax and gratuity.

Full Day Excursion (5 – 6 Hours)

Cruise to a distant magical island like Monhegan or cruise the coastline North to a quaint port such as Belfast. Visit Vinalhaven, North Haven, Stonington or any one of the many islands accessible in Penobscot Bay. Our professional team will put together the perfect itinerary for your group from start to finish and create a custom charter personalized to your every desire. Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

In Baxter State Park, there’s Mount Katahdin and the Appalachian Trail along with plenty of wild moose. You will also see beautiful sandy beaches and lobster shacks.

Take a cruise to Butter Island, a firm favourite with superyacht charter guests for its spectacular beaches. Anchor in Penobscot Bay before setting off to Nubble Beach to enjoy a swim. If you’ve got the energy, climb up to the top of Montserrat Hill where you can take in magnificent views of the Camden Hills and Mount Megunticcok.

The S/V Liberty is a 44 foot sailing yacht.  Sailing on a catamaran provides a much more comfortable and luxurious experience than other boats.  It is more stable, easier to walk around, and provides much more seating and entertaining areas than a typical boat.  Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the coastline and local marine life atop the yacht’s flybridge, and bask in the sun lying on the front trampolines. The spacious interior dining area provides the perfect venue for enjoying appetizers and cocktails. Or, dine al fresco in our outdoor seating area, shaded from the sun under the coach roof.

In the fall of 2018, we decided to leave the cold new england winters and set sail in the caribbean, and finally found our winter home in key west. our combined experience encompasses over 30 years of sailing, culinary and hospitality expertise, and business management.  we love hosting guests on the boat and being able to bring them to beautiful, magical bays and anchorages to create wonderful memories. ashley has worked in the culinary and hospitality industries for over 15 years in leadership roles spanning operations, finance, and strategy.  she has a degree from the french culinary institute and mba from the university of virginia.  nils holds a 100 ton master captain's license, is a certified sailing instructor with the u.s. sailing association, and has been teaching sailing and captaining yachts for over 15 years. our experience and love for the ocean will provide you with wonderfully unique adventures, enabling you to explore and enjoy parts of key west and southern maine coastlines that you could never see otherwise.  come sailing with us.

Maine is best experienced on a yacht charter yacht during the summer months when temperatures are mild and the weather sunny and ideal. In fact, during summer, the Maine coast comes alive, with shops opening on Memorial Day and visitors heading to Acadia National Park.

• What to Expect: July and August boast the warmest weather, with temperatures jumping into the mid-70s. In June and September, the weather is a bit milder, with temperatures in the mid-60s. Throughout summer, Maine experiences ideal weather, with occasional afternoon rainstorms.
• Water Conditions: During summer, the waters in Maine are calm. Waves tend to be 2- to 5-feet, allowing for easy cruising.

Day 1 – Portland
