Emirati company Gulf Craft is top manufacturer of luxury yachts and fiberglass boats. One of the brands under its umbrella is Majesty Yachts, part of which is the excellent Majesty 70.

Thor, is a stunning and slick 22m Azimut motor yacht. She was built in 2013 but has undergone an extensive refit in 2019, ensuring she’s moving with the times and trends. Having being built by the expert Italian Azimut Shipyard, she is in great condition. Making her one of the most sought after yachts in her category. Accommodation 

Thor can comfortably accommodate 6 guests sleeping or alternatively, 12 guests cruising. She boasts 4 elegant cabins; 1 Master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, and 2 twin cabins. All of which have their own en-suite facilities. You can rest easy knowing that you and your guests will have the perfect slumber, no matter which cabin they stay in. She features her very own Tender 385 Williams, water-ski and wake-board. Grab the paddle board’s and head out exploring the lush, blue waters of the Med. Only the bravest guests will give the inflatable flying sofa a go!

She is an extremely powerful yacht thanks to her 2 x MAN V12 – 1550HP engines. Thor cruises at a comfortable speed of 22 knots and can reach a maximum speed of up to 26 knots. She is also equipped with stabilisers at anchor as well as stabilisers underway ensuring a smooth cruising experience for all.

Twice Winner of the America’s Cup, the incomparable 12 Meter Intrepid is close to the hearts of many sailors. 12 US 22 is one of the most famous racing yachts of all time.

Built of double planked mahogany on white oak frames, Intrepid marked a major breakthrough in Twelve Meter design, separating the rudder from the keel, including a “bustle” or “kicker”, and adding a trim tab. This unique underbody type, designed by the legendary Olin Stephens, was imitated on every subsequent Cup boat until Australia II , came out with her winged keel in 1983.

Skippered by “Bus” Mosbacher, she completely crushed the competition, including the unfortunate Australian challenger Dame Pattie , to win the Cup in 1967.   After being revamped by Britton Chance in 1970, with Bill Ficker at the helm, Intrepid sailed to her second America’s Cup victory, defeating Gretel II .

Intrepid remained very competitive well into the era of the aluminum 12 Meter yachts. Redesigned yet again in 1974 by Olin Stephens and his team at Sparkman & Stephens, she competed for an unprecedented third time under the command of Californian Gerry Driscoll.   Intrepid came within one race of becoming the only three time America’s Cup Defender in history, losing the final race of the Defender trials to Ted Hood on the brand new Courageous .

Spirit Yachts Reveals 22 Metre Sailing Yacht Spirit 72DH

British sailing yacht yard Spirit Yachts has revealed its new Spirit 72 Deckhouse yacht, which is currently under construction in Suffolk.

Due to launch, in 2021, the 22 metre yacht has been specifically designed to meet the owner’s requirements for cruising, racing and chartering in the Mediterranean.

It is the first Spirit yacht to have carbon integrated into the build, with a carbon reinforced structure linking the keel, stainless steel chain plates and mast step.

Spirit managing director Nigel Stuart said this would result in saving “over 800kg versus the stainless steel equivalent”. This will “optimise the overall performance of the yacht” on the water, he added.

The yacht will also features a Bermudan sloop rig, carbon mast and boom courtesy of `Hall Spars and a sail wardrobe from OneSails.

While the exterior of the yacht has the appearance of Spirit’s standard deckhouse designs, the interior is a “step change” for the British yard.

Notably, it is the first Spirit deckhouse yacht without a mid-level seating and navigation area in-between the cockpit and main interior. The decision to do away with this feature was to “maximise the living area and introduce a more modern style,” Sean added.

Elsewhere, the raised coachroof’s 360 degree windows above the galley allows plenty of natural light into the interior. Combined with a white finish, this creates a “bright and airy space”.

Accommodation on board is for a total of six guests and two crew. The guest quarters comprises a forward master suite and two guest twins.

On deck, the yacht features a cockpit table large enough to seat 10 people and storage for a range of water toys and rib tender.
