The first highways in America were the great rivers, which permitted the growth of commerce and transport. The advent of steam permitted the upstream navigation on rivers. The search for speed inspired marvelous competitions. One of the most famous races is that between Natchez and Robert E. Lee, held in 1870 between New Orleans and Saint Louis. After 750 miles of water the Robert E. Lee Steamboat won the race, covering the distance in 3 days, 18 hours and 14 minutes. The wooden model boat is solid hull kit.

Robert Watson

Our family traditions have always been focused around the river, bay, and ocean. We begin our fishing and boating season early in March and stretch it past Thanksgiving when the weather permits. I have owned numerous boats throughout the years and have navigated them from Washington , DC to Ocean City , Maryland . My family and I currently own a 32' Regal Cruiser, 36' Grady White Sport Fish, and 22' Triton Center.

I am a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax , VA. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. Since graduating I have continued my work in Finance & Sales. Dominion Yachts was founded with a desire to combine my knowledge of sales with my passion for boating.

After spending my 20’s as a dive professional and knowing I enjoyed helping and assisting others I went to work for BMW in northern Va as a sales associate. I had great success building and cultivating relationships with clients. While it was very rewarding something was missing. One day a good friend and fellow boater said to me. “ you love boating, you love helping people” come work for me. That was is in 2011 went I left the desk and went to work for DY.

Who Is Robert Kraft's Wife? All About Dana Blumberg

Robert Kraft and Dr. Dana Blumberg were first linked in 2017 and got married in October 2022

While New England Patriots owner and billionaire Robert Kraft has many Super Bowl rings of his own, he gave an engagement ring to his now-wife, Dr. Dana Blumberg , in early 2022.

The couple reportedly began seeing each other in 2017 and have remained private about the details of their relationship, including how and when they first met. In March 2022, designer Tommy Hilfiger broke the pair's proposal news at the inaugural amfAR Gala Palm Beach event, telling the audience that Kraft and Blumberg had recently gotten engaged.

On Oct. 14, 2022, the couple got married during a surprise wedding ceremony at the Hall des Lumières in New York City. Kraft and Blumberg tied the knot in front of over 200 guests — most of whom "didn't know it was a wedding celebration," a source told PEOPLE.

According to Page Six , Kraft invited a star-studded guest list to attend a "Kickoff and a Touchdown" party, though he did not reveal that he and Blumberg would get married during the event.

So, who is Robert Kraft's wife? From her background as an ophthalmologist to her relationship with the NFL team owner, here's everything to know about Dr. Dana Blumberg.

She is an ophthalmologist

Blumberg received her medical degree in 2000 from Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

She is a board-certified ophthalmologist, specializing in eye and vision care and glaucoma. Previously, she worked as an associate professor of ophthalmology at Columbia University in New York City and was affiliated with the New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

She started dating Kraft in 201 7

While Blumberg and Kraft didn't make their public debut as a couple until 2019, they reportedly first connected in 2017. Former Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin and his girlfriend Camille Fishel gave fans a peek at Blumberg and Kraft's first date while celebrating the newlyweds in October 2022.

As a wedding gift, Rubin temporarily turned the Olde Heritage Tavern in Lenox, Mass., into "Blumberg's."

"This is the bar they had their first date, so had it renamed "BLUMBERG'S," Rubin wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos of the rebranded bar, which received a new logo and decor featuring Blumberg and Kraft's faces for the occasion.

Fishel also shared side-by-side photos of the couple on her Instagram story. In one snap, Blumberg and Kraft can be seen holding up shots alongside friends on their "first date" in August 2017; in the other, the newlyweds smile with the same group the day after their wedding.

It is unknown how or when the couple first met, but they were first publicly seen together in 2017 at an Elton John AIDS Foundation event where Blumberg posed with one of Kraft's Super Bowl rings. They were then spotted together at the French Open in 2019 and later appeared at several other events over the summer.

She got engaged to Kraft in 2022

On March 5, 2022, at the inaugural amfAR Gala event in Palm Beach, Florida, honoree Tommy Hilfiger revealed onstage that Kraft and Blumberg had recently gotten engaged. A representative for Kraft declined PEOPLE's request for further comment.

She's 33 years younger than Kraft

While Blumberg was born in 1974, Kraft was born in 1941, making him 33 years her senior.

Previously, the Kraft Group CEO was married to his college sweetheart Myra Hiatt Kraft for nearly 50 years before her death from ovarian cancer in July 2011 at age 68. Together, the couple shared four sons during their decades-long marriage. Throughout the following football season, the Patriots wore Myra's initials "MHK" on their uniforms.

In 2012, Kraft began dating actress Ricki Lander , but they split in 2018.

She is very private

Throughout their relationship, Blumberg has stayed incredibly private. She does not have any social media accounts, and additional personal details about her profession remain unknown.

She and Kraft got married during a surprise ceremony

On Oct. 14, 2022, Blumberg and Kraft wed in a surprise ceremony attended by a slew of A-list guests, including Tom Brady , Jon Bon Jovi , Kenny Chesney , NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, among others.

One guest told PEOPLE that most attendees were completely taken by surprise. "Most of the people didn't know it was a wedding celebration. We thought it was a party and then when we went upstairs — and [a] screen opened and Robert and Dana came out. She was in a wedding dress, and Elton John announced them as 'husband and wife.' Then Meek Mill wrote a song for them — which he sang with Ed Sheeran as backup," the source shared.

According to the source, Kraft and John arranged the singer's appearance a few weeks prior while backstage at one of his concerts. "They are very good friends," the source said of the Patriots owner and John.

Mill shared a photo from the celebration on Instagram, posing beside John and Sheeran. "Sounds forever 💎💎💎 @teddysphotos @eltonjohn ☝🏾," he captioned his post. Mill and Kraft have been close for years, and the rapper even teamed up with Michael Rubin and JAY-Z to gift Kraft a Bentley for his 80th birthday in 2021.

In March 2023, Kraft told PEOPLE that he "never believed" he'd get married again after the death of his first wife.

"I was really messed up when my first wife died — for over a year," he said, adding that he thinks it was "God's hand at work" that led him to Blumberg.

The Patriots owner went on to call the board-certified ophthalmologist an "off the charts" partner who makes him "very happy."

She and Kraft are passionate about giving back

In November 2022, the couple were spotted distributing food to 200 Boston families at the 29th Annual Thanksgiving-in-a-Basket event, which was hosted by the Kraft family and the Patriots Foundation.

Kraft threw her a surprise 50th birthday party

The Patriots owner threw Blumberg a surprise 50th birthday at the iconic Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. According to Page Six , more than 200 guests were in attendance and the evening featured a performance by Dave Matthews.

“I always loved this theater. When I was an undergrad at Columbia, I used to come here for amateur night, and it was always such a great place with a great heritage," Kraft told the crowd. "So we were really happy we could pick a venue which would not make [Dana] suspicious … because she is very smart.”

She and Kraft are good friends with Michael Rubin

In February 2024, Kraft and Blumberg attended the CEO of Fanatics Michael Rubin's Super Bowl party in Las Vegas. The couple mingled with several A-listers at the event, including Meek Mill , Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish .

Much like the Elitserien Finals, we have a bit of an offense vs. defense match-up in this league Final.  While Ufa let their star top line of Alexander Radulov, Patrick Thoresen and Igor Grigorenko loose on the KHL's Western Conference, Mytischi played a more conservative style, relying on veterans such as former NHLers Jan Bulis, Oleg Petrov, and Jaroslav Obsut.  Just reaching the Finals is a testament to Atlant's disciplined style of play, as they had to knock off much more high profile teams from Yaroslavl and St. Petersburg to do so.  But while they did finish 8th in the league in points, they haven't seen the likes of Ufa, who finished 2nd. 

This series will be a challenge for the underdog, because unlike some of the other KHL teams, Ufa's top players are generally younger and in their prime.  Only Proshkin amongst regular blueliners is over 30, with the work being shared by Kirill Koltsov (28), Andrei Kuteikin (26), Miroslav Blatak (28), Maxim Kondratiev (28) and Dmitri Kalinin (30).  Oleg Tverdovsky hasn't played a lot in the playoffs to date.  Up front, while led by a fairly young top line (24-27), Ufa does have a lot of veterans in support roles:  Vyacheslav Kozlov , Viktor Kozlov , Vladimir Antipov, Sergei Zinovyev and Petr Schastlivy are all over 30.  In fact, the names of all their forwards are familiar to international and NHL fans:  Robert Nilsson , Alexander Svitov, Oleg Saprykin and Jakub Klepis round out the group, all former NHL players.

For Atlant, their veteran roster, with only one of their top six D under the age of 30 (and no top forwards under 30, either), this might be their one shot at a championship.  The team has never won either a Russian Superleague title or the Gagarin Cup, and for players like former NHLer Oleg Petrov, this is probably the last shot at the KHL's top prize.  The team got three extra days rest by winning their Conference Final in six games, and they probably needed to use it.  Atlant does have younger regulars on their roster, but they generally only play a few shifts per game, if that. 

The low event style of game for Atlant probably suits them well, but I don't know how they can manage to keep up against Ufa's speed, skill, and depth.  There is no advantage to be seen in goal, with Erik Ersberg and Konstantin Barulin posting almost identical numbers, and even in terms of recent playoff experience Ufa has them beat.  Luckily for Atlant, Ufa isn't that far away from the Moscow region, so travel shouldn't play a major role. 

I'm predicting that Ufa, winners of the last Superleague title back in 2008, will become the second team to win the Gagarin Cup, and will prevail in five games.  They have a seriously well built team that would honestly compete in the NHL.  They represent the potential of the league, while Atlant represents closer to the reality, as a team full of players who played themselves out of the NHL.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. challenges Donald Trump to debate at Libertarian Convention

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has challenged Donald Trump to a head-to-head debate for when both address a Libertarian convention later this month, a move that comes as the presumptive GOP nominee has ramped up both criticism of Kennedy’s independent bid and demands that President Joe Biden meet him on a debate stage.

Arguing that he is “drawing a lot of voters from your former supporters,” Kennedy said to Trump in an open letter posted Tuesday to X that the Libertarian convention provides “perfect neutral territory for you and me to have a debate where you can defend your record for your wavering supporters.”

Trump has been bullish in calling on Biden to debate him ahead of the November general election but has shied away from other rivals’ previous debate entreaties. Trump skipped the 2024 GOP primary debates , saying it was unnecessary because voters know him and his record.

Kennedy, who last year challenged Biden for the Democratic nomination before launching an independent bid, has argued that his relatively strong showing in a few national polls gives his candidacy heft. Polls during the 2016 presidential campaign regularly put libertarian Gary Johnson’s support in the high single or low double digits, but he ultimately received only about 3% of the vote nationwide.

In the open letter to Trump, Kennedy said their debate could “show the American public that at least two of the major candidates aren’t afraid to debate each other.” Kennedy wrote that convention organizers “are game for us to use our time there to bring the American people the debate they deserve!”

Spokespeople for the Trump campaign and the Libertarian Party did not immediately return messages seeking comment on Kennedy’s debate challenge.

Kennedy and Trump are scheduled to appear on separate days before attendees at the Libertarian National Convention in Washington, D.C. later this month. Both candidates have been courting support from libertarian-leaning voters, although Kennedy — who is working to appear on all 50 ballots, a state-by-state petition process — has ruled out officially running as a Libertarian candidate.

In recent weeks, Trump’s campaign has ramped up its attacks against Kennedy, who has appealed to disaffected Democrats and Republicans looking for an alternative to the pending rematch of the 2020 election.

Last month, Trump wrote on Truth Social that “RFK Jr. is a Democrat ‘Plant,’ a Radical Left Liberal who’s been put in place in order to help Crooked Joe Biden.” MAGA Inc., a super PAC supporting Trump’s candidacy, has also issued its own critical posts and created an anti-Kennedy website.

Leaving court one day last week after his hush money trial , Trump told reporters that he didn’t feel threatened by Kennedy’s bid.

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.
