GRATEFUL, 34m Benetti Motor Yacht, Listed For Sale with Floating Life

By Frances Flannagan

34m Benetti M/Y GRATEFUL has been listed for sale with Filippo Rossi, Yacht Broker and CEO of Floating Life and V Marine. She is a stunning superyacht, designed with sociability and a close connection with the water in mind.

GRATEFUL was delivered in 2023, completing one season before joining Floating Life’s fleet of luxury yachts for sale. Filippo Rossi, Yacht Broker and CEO of Floating Life, has commented: ‘This is a unique opportunity for the most passionate owners to purchase without waiting the latest successful model from Benetti shipyard, just five months after the launch.’

For Superyacht owners who wish for long stays combined with an authentic connection with the sea, GRATEFUL is an outstanding proposal. She has five key features which make her a unique and exciting vessel: opening wings which extend the deck and a stunning pool integrated in a flush deck being two of them, both allowing for the guests to be in close contact with the sea. She also has an unobstructed 270-degree view off the stern, a combination of sunny and shady areas on the deck, and a social design which has resulted into a vast convivial oasis.

Her exterior is by RWD, and her interiors have been penned by Bonetti/Kozerski. GRATEFUL can accommodate up to 10 guests in a master cabin, two VIP cabins and two twin cabins, all with an en suite and equipped with entertainment centres.

The aft deck is an exceptional design, with a beautiful spa pool, folding wings which increase space and eliminate barriers to the sea, and a transformer passerelle on the beach platform. Sociability can be seen throughout the design, with a longitudinal dining table and a lounge area on the main deck, and a vast sundeck with spaces protected by a hardtop, one of which being an outdoor dining area, allowing guests to have a range of dining and entertainment areas.

GRATEFUL is powered by twin 1380 Hp MTU Diesel engines, with a top speed of 16 knots. Alongside her impressive design features, she boasts exceptional performance capabilities with a range of 2,700 NM, equipped with zero speed stabilisers, amongst other options that would be expected from a Superyacht of this calibre.

‘With this joint central agency’, commented Filippo Rossi, ‘Floating Life’s Charter&Brokerage division underscores once again its  focus on offering its owners products and services of a consistently high standard.’

GRATEFUL is on display in Viareggio, Italy, with an asking price of €16,900.000.

GRATEFUL: 75 Hatteras Motoryacht Walkthrough

GRATEFUL: 75 Hatteras Motoryacht Walkthrough

June 21, 2018 9:08 am

I am Peter Quintal with Denison Yachting. I’d like to welcome aboard GRATEFUL, the 2017 75′ Hatteras Panacera.

Entering the salon of GRATEFUL through the sliding doors you’ll notice how she’s finished with a warm natural walnut. The wide plank flooring that transitions from the salon to the galley is all on one level. Starting from the starboard side, she has a floor to ceiling cabinet that houses the heart of the salon’s entertainment package. This is just feet behind her leather sewn finished L-shaped sofa that backs up to the gallery. Opposite, the seating area are 2 barrel chairs flanking the retractable LED TV. Just beyond that there’s an ice-maker and cocktail glass store. The salon sets up the galley perfectly. As we pass the beautiful yet inconspicuous day head to the port, the walnut continues down the side to conceal a subzero side-by-side fridge and freezer drawer below.

Entering the galley you will see this huge centerline island; a stone surface countertop rests above a full-size dishwasher and large storage area. It’s a great area to prep your meal. Wrapping around the island is a matching natural stone countertop. She is equipped with a Miele 4-burner induction cooktop and Miele microwave convection oven. Forward is a deep stainless steel vessel sink with elegant Dornbracht faucet.

Off the galley, you have dining for up to 10 people. It’s great for large families and above that area, you’ll notice a beautiful atrium overhead for tons of natural light and unparalleled views of the water. This is a great space for large families dining or gathering together. Forward of the fixed seating, there are two hinged large storage compartments for additional provisioning space.

To the port side of the galley is a wide walnut staircase with access to the lower cabin levels. Two steps from the top is a conveniently placed GFI receptacle and pump out control panel. Following her polished banister, we immediately pass her three main distribution panels on your left.

Stepping down onto the landing brings us to the lower cabin level. Immediately to your right we enter the full beam master stateroom. Upon entry, we see a room flooded by natural light from her four horizontal hall windows. Centerline is a comfortable king-size bed. Under this is a large cedar-line chest that can easily be accessed by lifting the foot of the bed. The master stateroom features a premium entertainment package complete with surround sound and a Samsung flat screen. Just forward on the starboard side is a marble finished ensuite head with raised vessel sink that leaves room for dedicated storage below. Opposite, the vanity is the large walk-in shower.

After spending a few moments in the master cabin, you’ll really get a feel for how comfortable the space is. From the 7′ headroom to the 21′ beam that this stateroom takes up, you really get a feel for how large this yacht is.

Walking forward from the master in the companionway, I’d like to point out how this space is finished with sound-dampening padded walls and wishful wall ceilings for privacy. In the portside cabin, there are side by side bunks with centerline cedar-line closet and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. On the starboard side is the second guest cabin. She has a queen-size bed, gorgeous whole window and direct access to a shared head that is just forward of the room with secondary access for guests from the portside stateroom through the hallway. Opposite the shared head entrance is a closet equipped with an over-and-under Whirlpool washer/dryer.

Three steps up from the companionway, you’ll enter the VIP cabin. She has a center line queen berth with light pouring in through the port windows and the overhead hatch when the shade is left undrawn. There’s wardrobe storage and extra storage beneath the bed. On the fully equipped ensuite head, your eyes immediately see multiple marbled surfaces and a bright shower stall.

75' Hatteras GRATEFUL

Leaving the lower staterooms and exiting the salon, you come to the aft deck which is well protected by the extended molded hardtop. Centerline on the aft deck is a large dining space for up to 8 guests. GRATEFUL is fitted with this beautiful high gloss teak table with a wrapping mother-of-pearl inlay.

To the port side of the cockpit is a wet bar with cold storage underneath. On the other side of the aft deck are the wide, upgraded teak steps of the molded staircase where we have access to the bridge overhead. Before we head aft to the swim platform, let’s take a look at her bow.

Another really wonderful area I’d like to point out on GRATEFUL is this bow area. On most boats you have a little tiny sunpad area where you feel like you’re going to fall in the water, where on GRATEFUL, when you’re actually up on the bow and on the sunpad entertainment area, you’re still in the boat.

Transitioning down from the cockpit to the hydraulic swim platform, we can take either stairwell down through the transom gates. Just 4 steps down from the top, this upgraded hydraulics swim platform can be utilized as a sizable floating beach or for tender storage.

Stepping through the transom entrance, we arrive in the crew area. The crew’s quarter has a two stateroom layout with separate head and galley prep area. Forward is the engine room. Housed in here are two incredibly powerful MTU 12V 2000 1800 horsepower engines. Aft of the engines are twin 29 kilowatt Onan generators. Above the starboard generator is an 1800 gallon a day water maker hid into a spot-free water system. Back up on the aft deck, we take the stairs up to one of my favorite spots on this boat.

75' Hatteras GRATEFUL

We’re up on the flybridge of GRATEFUL. I’d like to point out some of the features and upgrades that she has. Looking forward at the heart of the helm, the first thing we see on the left are two 15-inch Garmin touchscreen GPS units, 2 icon ship-to-shore radios, hydraulic bow and stern thrusters as well as a yacht controller for remote docking. Looking to the back of the climate controlled flybridge is a 15′ long horseshoe shaped settee that seats up to 10. The cocktail tables are the optional high gloss teak top with mother-of-pearl inlay.

To starboard, there is a well-equipped wet bar that makes for a perfect entertainment space with an over/under fridge/freezer stainless steel vessel sink and themed natural stone. This three cedar bar top is perfect for those Caribbean nights.

Thanks again for taking the time to tour Grateful today. I really appreciate your time. Please feel free to reach out to me, if you like to set up a day for private tour.

Palm Beach International Boat Show returns to West Palm Beach waterfront

motor yacht grateful

The Palm Beach International Boat Show returns this week with more nearly 1,000 vessels on display, including super yachts from around the world.

Tickets are on sale now for the show that runs March 21-24 along the West Palm Beach waterfront.

The show, which started in 1982, has grown to a major economic engine for the community, with last year's impact estimated at $1.05 billion statewide — nearly as much as the $1.3 billion Miami International Boat Show, said Alyssa Freeman, executive director of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, which owns the boat show.

More: Cool front for South Florida won't be its last even with the first day of spring here

"Palm Beach is really not that far behind Miami, and Miami is the biggest in the world," Freeman said. "That was really exciting."

This year's boat show features an expanded Super Yacht Show at Palm Harbor Marina, showcasing yachts that typically stretch longer than 80 feet and have a variety of luxurious amenities that include hot tubs, crew quarters, dance floors and sun decks.

"We have more super yachts there than we ever have before, and they're even bigger," Freeman said, noting that at 236 feet, the vessel Casino Royale takes the title of largest yacht at this year's show. The title of "most expensive yacht" goes to Come Together, a 196-foot vessel priced at $59.95 million.

"Everybody, when they think about super yachts, they think about Monaco and Miami, but Palm Beach is a real player in these boat shows and the yachting world," Freeman said.

Exhibitors continue to be drawn to the Palm Beach International Boat Show by the opportunity for high sales year after year when compared with other South Florida boat shows, she said.

"I've heard from several of them, this is their favorite show to attend," Freeman said, "And that's why, because their sales are higher at Palm Beach."

The show continues to make headway in improving its sustainability efforts, she said. After reducing single-use plastics, a major change this year is the addition of water bottle refilling stations throughout the show, Freeman said.

"I think that's exciting because everybody's talking about sustainability and how we can be more sustainable," she said. "Every year, we take little steps to be more sustainable."

Freeman said she is excited for this year's AquaZone presented by Nautical Ventures. The attraction showcases some of the "yacht toys" that are new or popular on the market.

"It's so cool, because there are people actually in the water demoing yacht toys, and it's usually the latest and greatest," she said. "There's always something new every year that we've never seen before."

The Palm Beach International Boat Show also features a range of seminars, demonstrations and discussions throughout the weekend, including mental health in yachting, tips to boat to the Bahamas, safe boating to protect sea turtles and how to address active threats and piracy.

Freeman, who has children, said she loves the Kids Fishing Clinics scheduled for noon and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with captain Don Dingman.

"Captain Don has been doing this for years, and he does a fantastic job," Freeman said. "The kids actually get to go home with a free rod and reel once the clinic is over."

The association produces the Palm Beach International Boat Show with Informa Markets' U.S. Boat Shows division.

"As we gear up for the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show, we are excited for our return to Downtown West Palm Beach to celebrate the rich history of this esteemed event," Andrew Doole, president of U.S. Boat Shows at Informa Markets, said in a news release. "Each year, we’re grateful for the warm welcome and support from the community, which truly makes this event a highlight on the calendar for both residents and visitors alike."

Informa also produces the Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary art show happening March 21-24, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. A Windward VIP ticket to the boat show includes admission to the art show as well.

In addition to serving as a cornerstone festival of spring in West Palm Beach, the boat show launched the Palm Beach International Boat Show Gives Back program to provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions to local nonprofits, Freeman said.

The grant program had a soft launch last year and formalized the boat show's four-decade practice of giving back to the community, Freeman said.

"We're really excited about it," said Freeman, who added that the boat show team is working with the Community Foundation to manage the grant program, which they hope to grow. "That's something that's a super high priority for us."

Money raised through a portion of the boat show's ticket sales, optional add-ons and some related activities goes toward the fund.

The boat show in February announced that the first round of grants totaling $500,000 would go to 25 nonprofits that have marine-related programs or projects, including Florida Fishing Academy, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Florida Atlantic University, Inlet Grove High School, Palm Beach State College, Sea Turtle Adventures and Friends of Manatee Lagoon.

"We're hoping one day we'll be able to say that it's a million dollars," she said. "So fingers crossed. It relies on the success of the boat show and the support of the community. With that, we will continue to grow."

What: Palm Beach International Boat Show.

When: Noon to 7 p.m. March 21, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 22 and 23, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 24.

Where: West Palm Beach waterfront.

Cost: General admission is free for ages 6 and younger with purchase of an adult ticket, $17 for a one-day ticket for ages 6-15, $33 for a one-day ticket for ages 16 and older, and $60 for a two-day adult ticket. VIP experiences start at $390 for a Windward single-day ticket.

Strange Glow Over Moscow Skies Triggers Panic as Explosions Reported

B right flashes lit up the night sky in southern Moscow in the early hours of Thursday morning, new footage appears to show, following reports of an explosion at an electrical substation on the outskirts of the city.

Video snippets circulating on Russian-language Telegram channels show a series of flashes on the horizon of a cloudy night sky, momentarily turning the sky a number of different colors. In a clip shared by Russian outlet MSK1.ru, smoke can be seen rising from a building during the flashes lighting up the scene.

Newsweek was unable to independently verify the details of the video clips, including when and where it was filmed. The Russian Ministry of Emergency situations has been contacted via email.

Several Russian Telegram accounts said early on Thursday that residents of southern Moscow reported an explosion and a fire breaking out at an electrical substation in the Leninsky district, southeast of central Moscow.

Local authorities in the Leninsky district told Russian outlet RBC that the explosion had happened in the village of Molokovo. "All vital facilities are operating as normal," Leninsky district officials told the outlet.

The incident at the substation in Molokovo took place just before 2 a.m. local time, MSK1.ru reported.

Messages published by the ASTRA Telegram account, run by independent Russian journalists, appear to show residents close to the substation panicking as they question the bright flashes in the sky. One local resident describes seeing the bright light before losing access to electricity, with another calling the incident a "nightmare."

More than 10 villages and towns in the southeast of Moscow lost access to electricity, the ASTRA Telegram account also reported. The town of Lytkarino to the southeast of Moscow, lost electricity, wrote the eastern European-based independent outlet, Meduza.

Outages were reported in the southern Domodedovo area of the city, according to another Russian outlet, as well as power failures in western Moscow. Electricity was then restored to the areas, the Strana.ua outlet reported.

The cause of the reported explosion is not known. A Telegram account aggregating news for the Lytkarino area described the incident as "an ordinary accident at a substation."

The MSK1.ru outlet quoted a local resident who speculated that a drone may have been responsible for the explosion, but no other Russian source reported this as a possible cause.

Ukraine has repeatedly targeted Moscow with long-range aerial drones in recent months, including a dramatic wave of strikes in late May.

On Sunday, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the region's air defense systems had intercepted an aerial drone over the city of Elektrostal, to the east of Moscow. No damage or casualties were reported, he said.

The previous day, Russian air defenses detected and shot down another drone flying over the Bogorodsky district, northeast of central Moscow, Sobyanin said.

There is currently no evidence that an aerial drone was responsible for the reported overnight explosion at the electrical substation in southern Moscow.
